Young people dying by suicide has been an alarmingly frequent headline in recent years.

Katie Meyer, a goalkeeper on the Stanford University women's soccer team, died by suicide in 2022. She was 22. Ian Alexander Jr., son of actor and director Regina King, killed himself last year. He was 26.

In 2021, an eighth grade boy named Ellis Lariviere took his own after being told he couldn't return to the elite private school in Brooklyn, New York, he was currently attending. He was 13.

Last year, suicide rates in the U.S. were the highest they had been since 1941, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

During the last two decades, youth suicide has increased significantly. From 2007 through 2021, suicide rates for Americans ages 10 to 24 rose 62%, according to the CDC.

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

They’re being told the Earth has only(insert latest number here) years left of the Earth so they figure they should get a head start
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

This country as a whole is mentally ill… these suicides are only a symptom of that mental illness.

Malaise, perhaps?

Very sad.  This tells me how much the twisted leftists are having on our youth.  So very sad.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

A deeply indebted country to the tune of 150% of GDP has few if any options for long term prosperity.  That directly translates to economic opportunites for our young.

Our government the past 40 years are criminally complicit for putting us in this hole.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I don't blame them.

Slim prospects for marriage or children, cost of living skyrocketing, homogenized job market that only recognizes a limited skill set and rewards networking over talent, etc. Not a lot of room for optimism.

And when we do say we want to end it, it's treated like it's all in our heads, like it's OUR mindset that's f'ed up and not the world. No. I need help. I need a woman who will treat me like I'm worth being loved. Not to be told to be happy as a dead end on the family tree. (For example.) I cannot make up for society's deficits by mindsetting away my needs. Some things I cannot do on my own.
