Biden admin’s effort to prolong cease-fire is ‘objectively pro-Hamas’: John Bolton

Former Ambassador John Bolton slammed the Biden administration’s efforts to prolong the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas as “objectively pro-Hamas,” saying the White House’s efforts deny Israel its right to self defense.
“With the initial pause now behind us, I think Israel’s best judgment here is to proceed militarily to achieve the objective it says it wants, which is the elimination of Hamas,” Bolton told NewsNation’s Leland Vittert on Friday.
“I think the second-guessing by the Biden administration, the efforts to prolong the pause, to turn it into a full cease-fire, are objectively pro-Hamas, because it denies Israel the self-defense right it has to eliminate the terrorist threat,” he continued.
“When you take the position that Israel can defend itself, it just can’t defend itself very well, you’re setting up an impossible situation for the Israelis.”
Bolton scoffed that Biden’s administration appears “weak” on the Israel-Hamas war and other issues, including the war in Ukraine and China.
“They really are trying to constrain what Israel is trying to do. I think it may be for political reasons…I think the administration is scared to death of the left wing of the Democratic party. But I also think Biden internationally wants to have both ways…that’s the terrorist veto,” he added.
