GReat American Media vs. The Hallmark Channel

Apparently, the entire staff - The whole top end of the Hallmark channel walked away from under the current Hallmark CEO and Hallmark's turn to the woke side, to form a family friendly media company producing Hallmark style programming like it used to be, to include original movies, Christmas specials, and the whole gambit.

Has anyone else heard about this shakeup, and does anyone have any experience with the new channel(s)?

I had not heard anything about it, but a little searching turned up this article:

Another article that I found indicated that Hallmark not only turned to woke-ness, but was also cutting costs and showing a lot more reruns (like The Golden Girls) instead of original programming. So there may be multiple reasons for people leaving.

Thanks for that... Still digging around, a bit dispassionately... The thing that attracted me was the woke angle, and an as of yet unproven circumstance where the working end of a company walked off due to woke leadership... That would be remarkable.

You're welcome. I agree it would be remarkable if some staff and actors left due to the wokeness. I guess if it was going to happen anywhere, The Hallmark Channel would be a place where it could happen. But again, there were show cancellations and other cost cutting going on, so people may have left due to that.
