The armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas said on Saturday that it had decided to delay the second round of hostage releases until Israel is committed to letting aid trucks enter northern Gaza.

Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades added that the hostage releases would be delayed if Israel did not adhere to the agreed terms for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

In response, an Israeli military spokesperson told French television channel BFM that Israel fully respected the truce. ...

UN patrol vehicle damaged by Israeli gunfire in southern Lebanon: report

A United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) vehicle was damaged Saturday when it was struck by gunfire Israel Defense Forces, the peacekeeping force said.

“No peacekeepers were injured, but the vehicle was damaged. This incident occurred during a period of relative calm along the Blue Line,” the group wrote on Twitter, stating that incident took place around 12 p.m. local time.

The Blue Line is the demarcation line between Lebanon and Israel and Lebanon and the Golan Heights.

The IDF told CNN Saturday that it was investigating the report.

Released hostage learned that her son was killed on the radio: report

One of the elderly hostages released by Hamas as part of the cease-fire deal with Israel learned that her son had been killed in the Oct. 7 massacre over the radio, the Times of Israel said.

Ruti Monder, 78, was overheard telling relatives that she heard of her son Roy’s killing over the radio, but that she was not sure how he died, as she was greeted by tearful loved ones on Friday, the outlet explained.

The footage also showed Ruti’s daughter, Keren Monder, learning that her father, 78-year-old Avraham, was also a hostage.

“So he wasn’t murdered,” Keren, 55, could be heard replying.

Ruti, Keren, and Keren’s 9-year-old son, Ohad, were part of the first wave of 24 hostages released on Friday.

Another 13 are expected to be released Saturday, pending alleged delays and conflicting statements from Israeli and Hamas officials.

They only call for a “ceasefire” (unilateral surrender) by Israel. (To appease their bottom-feeding BLM and Hamas base, including at the Biden State Department.)

Army continues raiding West Bank as Gaza humanitarian pause continues on 2nd day

RAMALLAH, Palestine

The Israeli army raided Saturday evening the northern West Bank city of Jenin, besieging a refugee camp and two hospitals, local media reported.

"Three Palestinians were injured by Israeli fires, two of them sustained abdominal injuries, and one in the thigh," said Palestine TV.

They were the Jenin Government Hospital and Ibn Sina Hospital that came under Israeli attack.

Tensions have been running high across the West Bank since the fighting broke out between Palestinian groups and Israel in Gaza on Oct. 7.

Thirteen Israelis and seven foreign nationals are expected to be released by Hamas “tonight,” Qatar announced after hours of delay.

Hamas also confirmed that the deal was moving ahead after initially claiming that Israel reneged on the terms of the four day ceasefire exchange.

An Israeli official previously said they were “cautiously optimistic” that the deal could go down as promised.

The original plan was for at least 13 Israeli hostages to be released in exchange for 39 Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant toured the Gaza Strip Saturday, and pledged that the Israel Defense Forces will remain in the area until all the hostages are returned, Haaretz reported.

Any negotiations for the hostages’ release will take place during “times when the bombs are falling and the forces are fighting,” Gallant added – despite the current four-day ceasefire.

"Israel's ability to bring back the first group of hostages stems from the military pressure applied,” he insisted.

“When pressure is exerted – they want a ceasefire; when you increase the pressure – they seek another ceasefire; when you escalate further – they are willing to come up with a proposal, and when you increase it even more – they're ready to offer something acceptable. That's the whole approach."

Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan, speaking from Beirut, claims the number of aid trucks that arrived in northern Gaza today is “less than half than what was agreed upon” under the ceasefire agreement.

“We emphasize our commitment to the success of the agreement signed with Qatari and Egyptian mediation, as long as Israel is also committed to it.”

More from Hamdan:
“Until this moment, Israel has not met its obligations in the cease-fire agreement, neither by security violations and shooting at Palestinians nor by aid trucks that were supposed to reach the northern Gaza Strip, or by "messing" with the names of the Palestinian prisoners, women and children, who were supposed to be released, in a way that puts the agreement in jeopardy.”

Complete falsehood. Egypt counts, verifies and then provides the drivers for these aid trucks. All trucks that were supposed to go into Gaza with aid were delivered, verified by Egypt.

Eight Israeli children, five women, seven foreign nationals to be released: Qatar

Eight Israeli children and five Israeli women, in addition to seven foreign nations, will be released by Hamas tonight as part of the four-day cease-fire deal with Israel, Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari said.

The group will be exchanged for 33 Palestinian minors and six women who were imprisoned in Israel for various offenses, he added, per the Times of Israel.

The second round of hostage exchange comes after 24 people – mostly Israeli and Thai nationals – were released on Friday.

President Biden has spoken with Qatar Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to urge him to act about the hostage delay, a source close to the matter told the Times of Israel.

Qatar claims the hostages will be released soon, they were supposed to be set free hours ago but the release was held up by Hamas.

The Middle Eastern country confirmed to the White House around 1:30 p.m. that the exchange was "back on," according to the Washington Post.

Israa Jaabis will be released from an Israeli prison Saturday evening as part of the hostage deal, the Times of Israel reported.

Jaabis was arrested in 2015 after detonating a gas canister in her car during a traffic stop.

She had been planning on performing a suicide bombing in Israel at the time.

The blast burned Israeli police officer Moshe Chen in his face and chest.

The fire caused severe injuries to her face, and last year, she filed a request with the Israel Prisons Service to get a nose job.

Her request was denied.

Israel's Foreign Ministry has criticized the United Nations for not discussing the sexual violence that took place the day Hamas attacked the country on Oct. 7.

“For almost 50 days UN Women has been SILENT on the rape, murder and kidnapping of hundreds of Israeli women and girls. Seven weeks later and all they can muster is ‘alarm.’ Disgraceful,” the Foreign Ministry said in a tweet.

Yesterday, UN Women's X account announced it was "remains alarmed by the reports of gender-based violence" from the day of the attack. The international organization called for an investigation into the reports.

National Council of Jewish Women CEO Sheila Katz said the UN failed to "explicitly address the severity of the terrorist attack" and the "torture and rape of women."

The Ministry's Deputy Director General for Public Diplomacy, Emmanuel Nahshon said the UN should "should hide forever in shame," in a tweet.

He went on to say the UN has behaved like "cowardly hypocrites" since Hamas deadly October 7 terrorist attacks.
