Washington University professor says he was fired for anti-Hamas post: ‘I destroyed myself’

A veteran professor claims he was fired from Washington University for an anti-Hamas post on X over the weekend that was decried by Muslim groups as a call for “ethnic cleansing.”

In an exchange with another user, geneticist Seth Crosby referenced Israel’s retaliation for the group’s shocking terror incursions last week.

Crosby, who worked in the St. Louis college’s school of medicine for several decades, called Israel’s strikes in the Gaza Strip “a much needed cleansing, yes, but not an ethnic one. Israel is not targeting humans.”

The sentiment immediately drew the ire of several Muslim advocacy groups, which said Crosby was dehumanizing Palestinians as a whole.

“It is unconscionable that a professor at a Missouri institution of higher education would allegedly call for the ethnic cleansing of any population and would seek to dehumanize the target of that crime against humanity,” said CAIR-Missouri Board Chair Yasir Ali.

“We urge Washington University to investigate this troubling incident and to take appropriate action.”

Two tiers of justice and fairness:  criticize Hamas, and one gets fired; support Hamas in its bloodthirsty work of beheading Israeli babies, and you do not.

Not to mention a University mischaracterizing his statement and firing him with a strawman argument.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Ah, so a college professor can indeed be fired.  Leftists have been telling us for decades that it is impossible to fire wacko leftist professors.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."
