Iran’s Foreign Ministry claimed Monday that Hamas was ready to release its hostages if Israel ceases its airstrikes along the Gaza Strip — as the number known to have been taken by the terrorist group rose to at least 199.

Hamas officials are “ready” to release hostages, but doing so would be “impossible” under Israeli airstrikes in the region, Iranian Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani relayed at a news conference in Tehran.

The terror group “stated that they are ready to take necessary measures to release the citizens and civilians held by resistant groups, but their point was that such measures require preparations that are impossible under daily bombardment by the Zionists against various parts of Gaza,” Kanaani said.

It came as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Monday confirmed that at least 199 hostages are known to be held in Gaza, a number much greater than previously believed.

Military spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said families have been notified. He did not say how many held captive were foreigners, or who was holding them, though most are believed to be held by Hamas, which rules Gaza.

Israeli government distributes thousands of rifles to citizens near Gaza, Lebanon borders

The Israeli government is distributing roughly 10,000 rifles to Israeli citizens living in towns near its northern and southern borders, officials announced Monday.

Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir purchased the rifles early last week and has expedited the process for "hundreds of thousands" of Israelis to be approved to carry firearms.

"I call on everyone who is eligible [to get] a life-saving weapon," he said in a statement on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The 10,000 rifles are being distributed to civilian security teams, some of which were able to fight off Hamas terrorists last week using only pistols. Members of at least one team told the Times of Israel that the Israeli Defense Forces had taken their rifles sometime prior to the Hamas assault.

Lebanese military targets 20 Hezbollah rocket sites: Report

 The Lebanese military has destroyed 20 different rocket launching sites that Hezbollah was using to attack Israel from Southern Lebanon, accoridng to Lebanese media.

Hezbollah, a powerful Iran-backed terrorist group, has threatened to join Hamas in the war against Israel. The group has launched anti-tank guided missiles over the Lebanon-Israel border in recent days, leading to Israeli reprisals.

The reported attacks on Hezbollah rocket positions indicate that there is disagreement in Lebanon regarding whether to challenge Israel.

The news comes as Hezbollah began destroying surveillance cameras on several Israeli army posts along the border on Monday.

Hezbollah’s military media arm released a video showing snipers destroying surveillance cameras placed on five points along the Lebanon-Israel border, including one outside the Israeli town of Metula. Hezbollah’s aim appears to be to prevent the Israeli army from monitoring movements on the Lebanese side of the border.

 Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, offered to exchange himself for Israeli children taken hostage by Hamas in Gaza on Monday.

Pizzaballa, who represents Pope Francis in the Holy Land, made the offer in a video conference with Italian journalists on Monday.

"I am ready for an exchange, anything, if this can lead to freedom, to bring the children home....The first thing to do is to try to win the release of the hostages, otherwise there will be no way of stopping [an escalation]."

 IDF releases video of Hamas gunman storming Israeli homes before he’s taken out

The Israel Defense Forces released footage from the perspective of a Hamas gunman who crossed the border into Israel and shot up homes of innocent civilians before he was taken out by Israeli security forces.

The IDF posted the three-minute clip — which appears to have been filmed by the militant’s body-worn camera — to X on Sunday along with a trigger warning.

“RAW FOOTAGE: Hamas jihadists squad invasion and killing spree of an innocent Israeli community,” the Israeli military captioned the video. “The filmed terrorist was neutralized by Israeli security forces.”

The footage shows heavily armed Hamas terrorists riding on motorized bikes through an opening cut in the border fence separating Gaza and southern Israel.

The militants fire guns as they pass by a security booth, which has a gunshot hole in its window, and then enter a neighborhood where they fire into civilians’ homes, according to the clip.

The gunman who is filming the attack shoots at a shadowy figure moving inside a home through the building’s screen door and then blasts a bullet through the tire of a parked ambulance, the edited video shows.

Israeli forensic teams find signs of torture, rape, mutilation on bodies of 1,300 murdered by Hamas

Israeli forensic teams working to identify the bodies of more than 1,300 people murdered by Hamas since last week's sneak attack said they've found widespread signs of abuse ranging from physical torture, to rape and mutilation, military officials confirmed.

"We've seen dismembered bodies with their arms and feet chopped off, people that were beheaded, a child that was beheaded," a reserve officer told reporters Saturday, according to Reuters.

She added that numerous victims showed signs of rape.

"We see them in severe stages of abuse. We see gunshots and we see signs that are purely torture," a military dentist working on the identification, Captain Mayaan, said.

The bodies of Hamas' victims have been brought to an army base in Ramla, in central Israel, where specialists set to work identifying them and determining causes of death.

Nearly 90% of the military dead brought to the base have been identified so far, and about half of the civilian casualties have been named, according to Rabbi Israel Weiss, an official overseeing the process.

Hamas has denied carrying out any abuses against the victims of its attack, despite considerable photographic evidence and accounts emerging in the past week.

The latest figures estimate about 1,400 Israelis have been killed in the conflict, according to CNN. At least 2,670 Palestinians have been killed in retaliatory strikes on Gaza.

Forensic Evidence of Hamas Executions, Torture, Looting in Attack on Israel

Forensic evidence continues to emerge showing the extent of the atrocities committed by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas against both civilians and soldiers during its massive Oct. 7 terror attack, as Israel struggled to mobilize a response.

Many Hamas terrorists who were later killed wore GoPro cameras during their assault, which are enabling investigators to understand not only what they did to Israelis during their invasion, but also where they came from, and with whom, in Gaza.

In a series of chilling videos released on Telegram by the South First Responders group, which will not be reproduced here, Hamas terrorists are shown executing civilians in the streets and in kibbutzim (collective farms). In one video, Hamas terrorists enter a room, apparently on an Israeli military base, and execute female draftees, evidently unarmed, who are hiding underneath tables. They ignore the terrified screams of the young women as they fire shot after shot, killing them in cold blood.

Iran tried to pressure Israel into ending its revenge airstrikes on Gaza by claiming Monday that the Hamas terrorists long sponsored by Tehran would be willing to free the 199 hostages now known to have been taken during the slaughter of more than 1,400 people.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani claimed that Hamas is “ready” to release the hostages, but doing so would be “impossible” under Israeli airstrikes in the region.

He reckoned that the terror group “stated that they are ready to take necessary measures to release the citizens and civilians held by resistant groups, but their point was that such measures require preparations that are impossible under daily bombardment by the Zionists against various parts of Gaza,” Kanaani said.

Despite this, Hamas has yet to make such an offer publicly.

The terror group did, however, speak out Monday to maintain that its unprecedented Oct. 7 attack was a solo effort not driven by Iran, despite widespread belief among Israeli and Western officials.

Abstract

The Coloured Progressive Matrices (CPM) was standardized in Palestine in 2011 on a sample of 257 children aged 6.0 to 11.5 years, tested individually. The sample obtained a British IQ of 85.

Introduction

We believe that no studies have been published of intelligence in Palestine. There are, however, two studies that may give a reasonable approximate estimate of the Palestine IQ. The first is a study of the intelligence of Arab school children in Israel, who could be expected to have approximately the same IQ as Arab children in Palestine, carried out by Lieblich and Kugelmas (1981). This reported the IQ of a sample of 639 6–16 year olds tested with the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised for whom an IQ of 86 (in relation to a British IQ of 100) was calculated by Lynn and Vanhanen (2012). The second is the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) study of 15 year olds tested in a number of countries in 2009 in mathematics, science and reading. The results are highly correlated with IQs and have therefore been adopted as a proxy for IQs by Meisenberg and Lynn (2011), who estimate an IQ of 83.3 for Palestine from the data. In this paper we present the first data for intelligence in Palestine measured with an intelligence test.
