At least 9 Americans killed in Israel war, State Department spokesman says

At least nine Americans have been killed in the unprecedented assault on Israel by Hamas terrorists, the State Department said Monday.

Secretary of State Tony Blinken announced on Sunday that the U.S. had received reports that Americans had been killed or taken hostage in the Hamas assault. President Biden's administration has yet to clarify whether or how many Americans may have been taken hostage.

State Department spokesman Matt Miller announced the new death toll on MSNBC on Monday.

The updated death toll comes as Israeli media say at least 800 people were killed in the Hamas attack, with more than 2,000 wounded.

The U.S. military has responded to the attack by moving an aircraft carrier group into the eastern Mediterranean Sea closer to Israel. The U.S. has supplied Israel with aid, but has yet to take direct action.

12 rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel as Hezbollah threatens to join war

 Extremists in Lebanon fired 12 rockets into Israel on monday, stoking fears that the terror group Hezbollah may join Israel's ongoing war with Hamas.

Israel's military is deployed against Hamas terrorists in around Gaza in southern Israel, but the threat of Hezbollah would come from Israel's northern border. Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel earlier this weekend, leading to swift airstrikes from the Israeli military.

Amir Avivi, CEO of the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF), told Fox News Digital that he was surprised that Hamas’s attack on Saturday was not coordinated with Hezbollah or that Hezbollah did not take advantage of the events unfolding to also attack Israel.

Avivi said that Hezbollah’s failure to join forces with Hamas could have been due to an Iranian desire to keep the Shiite group intact for any future confrontations. If both groups attacked Israel together, he theorized, they might end up being destroyed and leaving Iran more vulnerable.

As Israel struggles to respond to the deadliest attack against that country since the Yom Kippur War, the Israeli government is engaging in a quintessentially "too little, too late" action by temporarily modifying its draconian gun control laws.

Out of the many horrific scenes that emerged over the weekend, there were, in my view, a couple that beggared the imagination.

In this one, the participants of a "peace music festival" were hunted like wild game by a handful of Hamas murderers. At least 260 participants were gunned down (see True Savagery: Hamas Terrorists Murdered Over 250 at Music Festival Near Gaza).

The women seemed to be singled out for rape, murder, and kidnapping.

I dunno about this.  Mossad wasn't going after the Catholic church or parents and school board meetings, but they missed it too.

Sometimes, the other side just does a damn good job.

Eventually Gaza will be as bombed out as Mariupol, Ukraine has been done by Russia. The big difference being that Ukraine never attacked Russia and kidnapped entire families including women, children, infants and elderly as Gaza did to Israel.



Also, Russia does not notify Ukraine of pending missile attacks (Gaza never issues a warning to Israel of anything they do, including missile bombardments). The common American saying to Gaza is, "Don't know where you are going to go, but you can't stay here."

Those 'Hamas bases' are almost always in Mosques, schools, and hospitals. Because they know Israel will not attack these places. However this time things are different. Israel is no longer playing patty-cake with these murderous barbarians. Israel has had enough. They cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war.

Hamas simply went way, way, way too far this time. Patience and tolerance can only go so far. And Hamas crossed the line. Now, Hamas is getting served with an eviction notice. They will no longer be allowed to remain in Gaza.
