Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats were loudly heckled Friday at a press conference in New York City regarding the migrant crisis there.

The Democrats, speaking outside of a hotel in Manhattan that has become a relief center for asylum seekers, were drowned out by shouting protesters chanting "send them back!" and "close the border!"

"My name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I'm here alongside Representative Adriano Espaillat, and we're incredibly thrilled and excited to be here..." Ocasio-Cortez started saying as the crowd started growing in noise outside the Roosevelt Hotel.

"We have geographic diversity here, including representative from California, Texas, Illinois and New Jersey," she added.

"Close the border! Close the border! Respect the constitution AOC! I am your constituant!" a man was then heard shouting into a megaphone. 

"And what we seek to do is to make sure that all the resources are necessary and that we are joining with the city and state" Ocasio-Cortez continued saying before man weilding the megaphone shouted over her, saying "Illegal immigration is not right! Respect the constitution, close the border!"

Well, it's a little too late for people to realize what is going on.  I knew eventually when the situation reached people's backyards they would have a V-8 moment -- finally.  Hello people, we have a CRISIS and an INVASION at our border!!!!   

It is interesting (and disheartening) that back when I was gathering data and research during W's administration, on the impact of ILLEGAL immigration that the estimated number was appx. 20,000,000. Yet current data, shows an estimate of 11,000,000+. Data was reflective of those caught/released and/or sitting in our prison systems, schools, collecting SS, Medicaid, and food stamps.

..........Pew Research: Mexican unauthorized immigrants are no longer the majority of those living illegally in the U.S. As of 2017, 4.9 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. were born in Mexico, while 5.5 million were from other countries, the first time since at least 1990 that those from Mexico (47% in 2017) were not a majority of the total. In 2007, an estimated 6.9 million unauthorized immigrants were Mexican, and 5.3 million were born in other countries. The population of Mexican-born unauthorized immigrants declined after 2007 because the number of newly arrived unauthorized immigrants from Mexico fell dramatically – and as a result, more left the U.S. than arrived..................

Current stats show that Biden has released at least 2,020,522 southwest border migrants and probably a lot more – plus 1.3 million known “got-aways”.  That data is of April 2023.

....This analysis represents our first attempt to estimate the illegal immigrant population, also referred to as the unauthorized or undocumented, using the monthly Current Population Survey (CPS) or “household survey”. We hope to further refine our methods in the future. We estimate that in January of 2022 the illegal immigrant population stood at 11.35 million — a 1.13 million increase over January 2021 when President Biden took office and the ongoing border surge began. Our preliminary estimate for February is 11.46 million. However, our January and February 2022 estimates are not substantially different from our January 2019 estimate of 11.48 million, before the pandemic began. The estimated size and growth of the illegal immigrant population are important because, unlike border apprehension figures, the number of illegal immigrants living in the country is what ultimately determines their impact. The CPS also shows that the total foreign-born population (legal and illegal together), reached 46.7 million in February 2022, a new record high, and an increase of 1.7 million since January 2021.
