At a rally in South Dakota Friday, former President Trump said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had “sided with the communists in China” over U.S. farmers.

“He strongly opposed my protection for our farmers,” Trump said of DeSantis. “I protected our farmers, very simply, and by the way those farmers got big checks.”

When DeSantis was running for Florida Governor in 2018, he stated he didn’t like farm subsidies that would try and offset retaliatory tariffs from the trade war between the U.S. and China at the time.

“I’m not a fan of farm subsidies, and you know, to throw billions of dollars in farm subsidies, I want to get away from doing that,” DeSantis said on Fox Business at the time.

I  watched the speeches by both Noem and Trump.  I only watched a portion of Trump's speech; apparently I missed this part.
He continues to be the same LYING bully that he's always been. 

In watching the speech that Noem gave, I did note that as the crowd loudly cheered over Trump, she often didn't smile and IMO had an almost tearful or apprehensive/silent expression on her face.  Maybe it was just me. Did anyone else watch it??

He didn’t inherit an Economy that was crashing and inflation was relatively low

He won’t get so lucky if he gets another term. He’s already promising more inflation.

We own three farms, (passive income), and I feel guilty every year when we get these extra gubmit checks.   Not only is Tumpy lying about RDS, but this level of pandering to the farming voting bloc, just makes him look this much more embarassing.

The farmers were not bailed out because of some plague on their crops, or some major weather event beyond their control

They had to be bailed out because of a specific policy implemented by Donald Trump. And he was proud of that policy. And I don’t blame the farmers.

He will not be getting my vote ever. Get this guy back in the office again and I guarantee you will hit some kind of economic crisis.

I agree ethanol subsidies are a boondoggle. You know what I want to see cut? A $500 Billion cut in defense spending until the  Pentagon can pass an audit.
