Former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) said Thursday on Newsmax TV’s “The Balance” that a civil war was “going to happen” over former President Donald Trump’s indictments.

Eric Bolling asked, “We’ve talked about the two tiered justice system but when you see it happening, when you see the former president being fingerprinted, having to show up turn himself in. You see the mug shots of the other seven or eight who turned themselves in already. Do you have concern for the country as I do?”

Palin said, “Yeah absolutely. I mean, I think those who are conducting this travesty and creating this two tier system of justice and I want to ask them, ‘What the heck do you want us to be in civil war?’ Because that’s what’s going to happen. We’re not going to keep putting up with this.”

She continued, “Eric, I like that you suggested that we need to get angry. We do need to rise up and take our country back. Now, I would, um. I would say the RNC, though that’s what’s lacking when it comes to collective anger that can be healthy and it can be useful. Where is the RNC? They hold the purse strings to the party. They hold the funds that could be helping out in this situation. They have the platform and yet they’re too timid. It is a bunch of freaking RINO’s running the thing. So the RNC they better get their stuff together or have to ask them too, what do they want as an outcome of this civil war?”

While Trump's indictments are a hideous example of overreach and twisted use of the judicial system, I do not think that will be the "North Bridge" moment.

There are numerous other violated principles and overt acts that may yet provoke things going to the next level.

I think we are already in a war. But it is a 'soft' Civil War.

I think too many Americans  are too fat, lazy, lethargic and apathetic to participate in a civil war. They barely pay attention as it is while their rights are chipped away, day by day.

To have a real civil war, you need to have clear leadership, ideas, and goals on the group that starts it.  That doesn't exist.

There isn't a sufficiently clear geographic division, so exactly what would you do even if you "won"?  Impose a dictatorship?  Or just hold elections that you might actually lose?

And people like Palin...she'd be sitting on the sideline screaming at everyone else to do the actual fighting.  Don't really have time for a shrew like that.

Did not much (most) of that come from the "Continental Congress" (both first and second) that the Colonists convened?

Such a meeting of the minds will be necessary before the red states can organize and plan "a way ahead" to either correct or cast off the DCommunist government.

IF someone DID try to convene another Continental Congress,chances are the current  feds would order air strikes on it,and then send in more armed agents that you even suspected ever existed.

Back in Colonial Times we had an advantage because we had an ocean between us and our oppressors. Now they live next door,and will do ANYTHING they have to do to preserve their pensions and benefits.

What is missing from this picture is what is the military going to do? Stand on the sidelines? Pick a side and slaughter the opposition? There is your leadership, ideas, goals, and firepower. The question is where do they stand?
