Trump campaign already selling merch featuring his mug shot — including $34 T-shirts

The Trump campaign is looking to cash in on the former president’s historic mug shot — hawking T-shirts and other merchandise featuring his booking photo.

The new line of mug-shot-inspired gear appeared on Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign site Thursday night shortly after the photo taken at an Atlanta jail was released to the public.

The products include T-shirts and long sleeve shirts for $34, a $25 coffee mug and $15 beer Koozies.

The tagline under the mug shot on the official MAGA gear states “NEVER SURRENDER!” in all caps, despite the fact that Trump, 77, did in fact surrender on Thursday before he was released on a $200,000 bond.

The Republican turned himself in to authorities at the Fulton County Jail after he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of racketeering, conspiracy, false statements and asking a public official to violate their oath of office in connection to his attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

Trump's true character shines through to the bitter end!!!!  He's a pro at commercializing all his drama for personal gain (and votes).  Trump looks fierce and demonic on the mug shot for a reason! He knows exactly what he's doing with this, and some would say that it's a smart move on his part.

I would.  It draws attention to one of his biggest selling points - "unfair persecution", while simultaneously sending a tough guy/mocking message.  Good move.

His "look" doesn't exactly prompt me to buy a t-shirt with his mugshot on it.

It's beyond ridiculous though the reaction from the liberals:

Media outlets and liberal journalists had strong reactions to seeing former President Donald Trump’s mugshot Thursday night, with some proclaiming the image is a "sinister apparition," a "threat," and a sign that has galvanized his supporters even more.

Others chose to mock Trump over the picture, asking if he had been "crying." One mentioned the irony of Trump trying to appear defiant, though he was the one who surrendered to the Fulton County, Georgia, authorities.

Where Trump supporters saw an image of a persecuted man wrongfully indicted on corrupt charges brought by Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis, liberal media folks saw an angry, scowling man vowing to wreak more havoc on American democracy.

Liberal outlet The Atlantic published several articles describing Trump’s expression in his mugshot as "extremely serious" and indicative of a "threat" to his political opponents. .............
