House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer sent a letter Thursday to the National Archives requesting unredacted emails to or from then-Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden related to Ukraine and Burisma.

The committee is seeking unrestricted special access to a case record by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), titled, "Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden." The record was first made public in June and included four emails, but two of the emails were withheld in full, and the other two had multiple redactions.

According to NARA, the two email messages that were released, dated May 27, 2016, and June 15, 2016, were from then-Biden aide John Flynn to Biden, with Hunter Biden as a carbon copied recipient, and they included an attached copy of Biden’s daily schedule listing planned interactions with Ukrainian government officials.

The two emails that were withheld were from then-Biden aide Fran Person in 2009 and a "Robin Ware," Biden's reported pseudonym, in 2012.

Call this the Pierre Delecto Twist in the Case of the Influence-Peddling Bidens. Where Mitt Romney adopted a nom de plume for social-media sock puppetry, Joe Biden apparently put his pseudonym to a more, ah, commercial use. Or so says House Oversight chair James Comer, who alleges that Biden used the name “Robert L. Peters” as a way to hide his involvement in Hunter Biden’s Ukraine affairs.

This morning, Comer told the National Archives to dig deep to produce all such communications under that name and to remove the redactions (via Twitchy):

Is "trilemma" a word? Consider. Having played a partisan bad-faith game with Trump:

* If NARA turns over records, it could severely damage LIEden;

* If NARA stonewalls, it becomes a very public, "What are you hiding," urination match;

* If NARA says, "We have nothing," it becomes a HUGE problem for the Trump documents case, since this would be a large or huge number of "documents" LIEden withheld from NARA.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) submitted a request Wednesday to the National Archives to present unredacted records featuring pseudonyms President Joe Biden allegedly used during his time as vice president.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer stated.

According to the New York Post, prior emails released by the National Archives and discovered on the Hunter Biden laptop show Joe Biden used a pseudonym email address – Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov – as vice president. They also showed John Flynn, Joe Biden’s aide, copied Hunter Biden on ten emails regarding the vice president’s schedule.

Hunter cc'd on these emails re: call w/Ukrainian President Poroshenko and meeting w/Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
These meetings took place as replacement prosecutor for Shokin was being selected and installed.
