At least 13 people were hurt when an LIRR train with about 100 passengers on board derailed in Queens Thursday morning, officials and sources said.

All eight cars of the passenger train derailed just east of the Jamaica Station complex at 175th Street and 95th Avenue around 11:12 a.m., according to sources and the FDNY.

Those hurt suffered leg and back injuries, sources said.

Two of the passengers suffered serious injuries, but most of the injuries were minor and all were expected to fully recover, MTA officials said.

The derailment was expected to impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning rush hours, MTA Chair Janno Lieber said at a press briefing on the incident.

“The restoration process is not merely a matter of re-railing the train, there is damage to the ties and other railroad infrastructure as well,” Lieber said of the timeline for repairs.

The cause of the derailment was not immediately known but the speed, which was 54 mph at the time, was not believed to be a factor.

Each train has downloadable data on the car’s mechanics and will be analyzed as part of the investigation.

The FDNY was called at around 11:30 a.m. and helped get the passengers off the train, Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh said.
