Yep, major blow for the "BRICS currency will replace dollar" crowd. I think possibly Bitcoin or other crypto currency will replace dollar anyway.

So what is left of Brics is the following countries:
Brazil: A basket case
Russia: Can't even conquer a weak nation like Ukraine
China: Is having issues itself
South Africa:  Can't even keep the power on!

Any such system would be dominated by China.  India, Brazil, Russia, and South Africa would become Chi-com colonies.

India, Brazil, and South Africa could make a go of it.  Each is the dominant economy in its region.
