Which stands to reason. Unless one is outside in the Sun, without shade or cover, in 100+ deg. F temperatures, one is generally not going to die from the heat if one slows down and takes it easy - that's why historically hot countries have had afternoon siestas, and why there are a lot of covered sidewalks in their towns and cities.
Conversely, if it gets cold - even just down into the low 40s - one has to expend resources - money or fuel - to stay warm enough to stay alive. One cannot simply sit down in the shade and stop moving in order to stay warm, but one can certainly stay cool enough to live in the heat by doing exactly that.
