School Board Overrules Parents

Despite overwhelming opposition from parents, Virginia's Fairfax County Public School Board (FCPSB) mandated that sex-education for all students will emphasize woke gender ideology. This is the same school board whose previous insistence that students could use the restrooms of their chosen gender enabled a male to sexually assault a female in the girls' restroom. FCPSB also defied the state's governor by suspending students for not wearing masks after he lifted covid restrictions.

Superintendent Michelle Reid dismissed the parents' objections, saying that "the majority doesn't always get its way. The fact that 84% of the parents responding to a survey on school policies opposed teaching gender ideology is irrelevant. These parents are the same ones that the Department of Justice has already determined are domestic terrorists. Giving them what they want would amount to allowing mob-rule to overturn the will of the duly elected members of the School Board."

School board member Melanie Meren argued that "the notion there are only two genders is ignorant. Overcoming this ignorance is what education is for. While it is probably too late to educate the parents, we have a moral obligation to see that the children accept the current scientific consensus regarding the multiple possible gender identities each individual can choose from."

Abrar Omeish was the lone school board member to side with the parents on this issue. "Teaching students that there are more than two genders is not science," he said. "It is propaganda. We do these youngsters a disservice to subject them to indoctrination in such nonsense."

Biden Appeals Court Order to Cease Censorship

This week, US District Judge Terry Doughty ruled against the Biden Administration's collusion with social media to censor free speech, calling it "the most massive attack against free speech in United States history. In their attempts to suppress alleged disinformation, the Federal Government has blatantly ignored the First Amendment's guarantee of the right to freedom of speech. The purpose of the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment is to preserve an uninhibited marketplace of ideas in which truth will ultimately prevail, rather than to countenance monopolization of the market, whether it be by government itself or private licensees."

Former President Obama's attorney general Eric Holder labeled the ruling "stupid and dangerous. Blocking censorship will curtail efforts to combat false and misleading narratives. It undermines the government's responsibility to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare. It assails the unity behind one leader that is necessary for the nation's survival."

In its appeal of Judge Doughty's ruling the Biden Administration contends that "the plaintiffs lack standing to present evidence substantiating their First Amendment claims. They can show no harm resulting from the government's efforts to protect the public from erroneous ideas. We, on the other hand, contend that millions of lives were saved by insulating a credulous population from rogue attacks on the government's scientifically sound pandemic mitigation policies."

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, spokesman for the 20 plaintiff states, called the Administration's case "a ludicrous inversion of its responsibilities. Unfettered and open discussion is what our Constitution calls for. The First Amendment explicitly prohibits the government from abridging free speech. Covert meetings between the government and media expressly for the purpose of infringing on the right of people to utter dissenting views is behavior more suited to a tyranny than a democracy. We can't stop the government from lying to the people, but we can stop the government from preventing people seeking the truth from other sources."

Arizona Dems Thwart Law Enforcement

Arizona law prohibits most abortions after the baby has reached 15 weeks of age in the womb. However, the state's top Democrats have ensured that this law will not be enforced. Attorney General Kris Mayes says she will not enforce this law. Gov. Katie Hobbs issued an executive order barring county prosecutors from prosecuting anyone for violating this law.

Hobbs justified her refusal to allow the enforcement of the post-15-week ban on abortion by contending that "a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy takes priority over the legislature's misguided attempt to negate this right. Fortunately Kris and I are on the same page in this controversy."

Twelve of the state's 15 county attorneys objected to Hobbs' action, saying "it sets a dangerous precedent and suggests that any Arizona governor can order the attorney general to assume all duties related to an entire category of criminal prosecution and, by consequence, prohibit local prosecutors from acting. County attorneys are independently elected officers of the court who are expected to enforce state laws within their jurisdiction. The Governor's usurpation of our authority is a lawless act."

Hobbs spokesperson Christian Slater rejected the county attorneys' request, saying "Governor Hobbs will continue to use her authority to put sanity over chaos and protect everyday Arizonans from extremists. I suggest that rather than harassing women and doctors over reproductive healthcare, these county attorneys pursue the domestic terrorists who are trying to destroy our democracy."

Vaccine Autopsy Study Suppressed

A study intended for publication in the prestigious medical journal Lancet that was offered in pre-print format while awaiting peer review was censored within 24 hours of appearing. The study was written by leading cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough, Yale epidemiologist Dr. Harvey Risch and their colleagues at the Wellness Company.

The study examined the autopsies of 325 people who died shortly after receiving one of the covid vaccines. In 74% of the cases the vaccine was determined to be either the cause of death or a significant factor in the death. The average time lapse between vaccination to death was 14.3 days.

Dr. Risch called the removal of the study "pure Government-directed censorship. If we're going to learn anything from the pandemic the world experienced these past three years it is imperative that continued research be encouraged rather than suppressed. We've already seen broad trends in mortality that suggest the fatality totals were not significantly altered after the vaccines were made available. Autopsies of the deceased provide a more intense examination of the fate of some of the individuals who were vaccinated. There's no good reason not to look at this."

Presidential Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended the suppression of the autopsy study, saying "according to the CDC, there's not a single instance of the vaccines killing anyone. Consequently, there's no probable cause for further investigation. The President has declared the pandemic to be over. The nation and the world needs to move on to more pressing matters rather than dwell on the past."

July 4th Shootings Prompt Dems Call for More Gun Control

Outbursts of gun violence in Baltimore and Chicago over the July fourth holiday inspired President Biden to renew his call for more gun control regulations. In Baltimore, 30 people were shot at a block party. In Chicago, 32 people were shot in a series of incidents around the city.

Biden made a pitch for more federal regulations, saying "it is within our power to once again ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, to require safe storage of guns, to end gun manufacturers' immunity from liability, and to enact universal background checks." Ironically, both Baltimore and Chicago already have these regulations. On top of this, the vast majority of firearm deaths are caused by hand pistols.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer admitted that "the raft of existing gun control rules haven't had a significant effect on gun violence. However, most voters don't know this. What Democrats need to do is keep harping on this issue. By portraying America's cities as unregulated shooting galleries the support for more of these ineffective regulations becomes a ballot box winner for the Party in 2024."

Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo) called "the Democrats' continued efforts to disarm law-abiding citizens a cynical attempt to divert attention from the real cause of gun violence. Criminals don't obey laws. If they think using a gun to get what they want is needed, they will illegally obtain and use a gun. Democrats aid and abet these criminals by neglecting to aggressively pursue violent offenders. If these felons are arrested, tried, and put behind bars our streets and communities will be a lot safer."

Budweiser CEO Pleads with Consumers

Rocked by steep declines in the sales of its beer, Budweiser CEO Brendan Whitworth pleaded with customers to stop boycotting the company's brew.

"First, it's unfair to blame Dylan for what's happened," he said. "This young girl cruelly trapped inside a grown man's body deserves our respect for fighting to be her authentic self. What I'd like to know is, is it worth giving up drinking the greatest beer in the world in order to pile on this poor girl?"

"Second, think about all the people who depend on our company to provide jobs brewing, packaging, and delivering our great beer," Whitworth asked. "Is it fair to them to lose their jobs just because you want to protest your insensitive attitudes toward Dylan? What about their families? Should their children starve just because you irrationally refuse to drink America's best beer?"

"Finally, if you're waiting for me to denounce or distance the company from Dylan before you resume drinking Bud, well, that's not going to happen," the CEO promised. "We've been supporting LGBTQ since 1998. As long as I'm running things our company will never give in to bigots and terrorists. I'm advising you to put aside your prejudices and resume buying our beer for the good of the country, the good of the company and all the people who work here, and the good of your consciences."

Cocaine Mystery Unsolvable

White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients explained why the mystery of who left the bag of cocaine in the White House this past weekend may never be solved. "A lot of people think that with all the security we have at the White House it would be impossible for someone to even bring cocaine into the place, much less be allowed to get away without being identified," Zients said. "Sadly, that is not the case."

"First of all, everyone assumes that there are closed circuit cameras recording every place and everything that happens here," he added. "However, out of respect for everyone's privacy the President has directed that all the cameras be switched off. He is especially adamant that his much beleaguered son have at least one island of refuge from prying eyes."

"Second, a strict code of omerta is adhered to by everyone who works at the White House or for the President," the Chief asserted. "It's basically the opposite of George Bush's 'if you see something, say something.' The best precaution for anyone entering the building is to avoid being perceptive. If you slip up and do see something you shouldn't have seen, just keep your mouth shut. As an accomplice to any wrongdoing that might occur, you have a right to refuse to testify if it could incriminate yourself. It's all in the Fifth Amendment--you could look it up."

Former Vice-President and current candidate for president Mike Pence admitted that "I was one of those who thought that everything that happened it the White House would be on surveillance tapes. Now that I know that it is not I can't imagine how charges could ever be brought against anyone for the cocaine incident. I think we need to put this inconsequential episode aside and focus on our nation's top priority--seeing that Russia is defeated in it war on Ukraine. This includes sending Ukraine all the weapons and ammo needed to do the job."

In related news, President Biden has just authorized sending cluster bombs in the next arms package for Ukraine. These weapons are currently banned by over 100 countries for such excessive collateral damage to noncombatants that their use is considered a war crime.
