Rand seems to be the only one vocal about what happens anymore!  535 members of Congress should be demanding that Gates and Fauci be prosecuted.  Yet not a darn thing is done. Evidence mounts up and turning a blind eye seems to be the flavor of the day!

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, R., called for accountability on both the U.S. and China's parts in wreaking havoc on the world by allegedly fostering an environment for the COVID-19 virus to jump species and spread across the world.

During an exclusive "Sunday Morning Futures' interview with Fox News' Maria Bartiromo, Paul called for slashing gain-of-function research and continued his allegations that the COVID-19 virus originated in a Wuhan, China lab via research funded by U.S. officials.

"The blame equally should go not only to Chinese authorities, but to Anthony Fauci and all those who advocated for this," he said. "Look, Bill Gates has been over there recently. Bill Gates is the largest funder of trying to find these viruses in remote caves and bring them to big cities. What happened in China is they went 8 to 10 hours south of Wuhan, 2 to 300 feet deep into a cave, found viruses and took them back to a city of 15 million."................

Democrats and Biden did it, with joining with our enemies world wide to produce a world wide epidemic capable of a massive plague to mostly exterminate mankind.  Isn't this the anything Biden does is better than anything Trump has done, and the stoogery therein to ram such evil/wickedness down humanities throats, so the few mega rich can run with their few numbers, unchallenged by too smart human competition on the planet?

Using the SARS-CoV reverse genetics system2, we generated and characterized a chimeric virus expressing the spike of bat coronavirus SHC014 in a mouse-adapted SARS-CoV backbone. The results indicate that group 2b viruses encoding the SHC014 spike in a wild-type backbone can efficiently use multiple orthologs of the SARS receptor human angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2), replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers equivalent to epidemic strains of SARS-CoV. Additionally, in vivo experiments demonstrate replication of the chimeric virus in mouse lung with notable pathogenesis. Evaluation of available SARS-based immune-therapeutic and prophylactic modalities revealed poor efficacy; both monoclonal antibody and vaccine approaches failed to neutralize and protect from infection with CoVs using the novel spike protein. On the basis of these findings, we synthetically re-derived an infectious full-length SHC014 recombinant virus and demonstrate robust viral replication both in vitro and in vivo. Our work suggests a potential risk of SARS-CoV re-emergence from viruses currently circulating in bat populations.

Two of the researchers on the team were from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

There's a huge gulf between researching bat viruses - which is being done in multiple countries, not just China - and gain-of-function manipulation of viruses. Bat cave research is being done because humans in outlying towns and villages come into contact with bats, and could become starting points for epidemics. The SARS and MERS epidemics are examples of this happening. IOW, bat cave research is predicated on a known and proven risk. Funding that is not Frankensteinian.

Does Rand Paul have evidence that the Gates Foundation contributed to gain-of-function research, specifically that of the Eco Health Alliance (who funded WVI gain-of-function research). Or is Rand Paul demagoguing a bogeyman with no evidence his claim is true?
