FBI defends suspensions, saying one employee refused to participate in an arrest and another took part in unapproved interviews with a Russian government news outlet

FBI employees who spoke out against the "politicized rot" within the bureau were suspended or had their security clearances revoked, the House Judiciary Committee and Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government said.

The committees released an interim staff report Thursday morning revealing new whistleblower testimony from several current and former FBI employees that exposes "abuses and misconduct in the FBI."

"The disclosures from these FBI employees highlight egregious abuse, misallocation of law enforcement resources and misconduct with the leadership ranks of the FBI," the report obtained by Fox News states.

Former Agent Says FBI Took Away His Pay, Left ‘Family Homeless’ After He Blew Whistle On ‘Illegal’ Activity

Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent Garret O’Boyle said his family became homeless after he reported “illegal activity” in the agency, according to a report from the House Judiciary Committee and Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released on Thursday.

O’Boyle disclosed possible illegal actions to his Supervisory Special Agent, and the FBI subsequently reassigned him to a different department that forced him to relocate his family across the country, according to the report. Upon arrival on his first day, the FBI placed O’Boyle on “unpaid, indefinite suspension, effectively rendering his ‘family homeless'” and depriving them of personal belongings, “including his young children’s including his young children’s clothing,” which the FBI kept in storage, according to the report.

O’Boyle and other FBI whistleblowers each detailed instances of retaliatory actions they have dealt with after making protected disclosures regarding what they sincerely believed to be misconduct, according to the report.

Weaponization Hearing Devolves Into Chaos As Representatives Repeatedly Interrupt Each Other

A House Weaponization committee hearing devolved into chaos Thursday as representatives repeatedly interrupted each other while arguing about witnesses’ testimonies.

Democratic Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz claimed Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the chairman of the committee, had withheld information from Democratic members about FBI whistleblowers. Jordan argued they “are not entitled” to the information when it comes to whistleblowers.

Wasserman Schultz claimed the people in question are not whistleblowers, sparking a heated exchange between her, Jordan and other members on the committee.

“When it comes to whistleblowers, you’re not,” Jordan began.

“That’s not right,” one said. “That’s not right.”

“It’s shocking that the gentleman from New York—” Jordan began. “When you were part of the investigation with an anonymous whistleblower.”
