WA Gov Signs Bill Allowing State to Hide Runaway Teens Seeking Gender Transition or Abortion From Parents

Governor Jay Inslee (D-WA) recently signed the contentious Senate Bill 5599, introduced by State Sen. Marko Liias (D-Everett), which permits the state, under certain conditions, to legally remove children from their parents if the parents don’t consent to their child’s gender transition surgeries or abortions.

This law undermines parental rights and according to opponents effectively enables the “state-sanctioned kidnapping of children.”


Under the current Washington state law, youth shelters must notify parents or guardians within 24 to 72 hours when a child seeks refuge.
 
However, they are not required to inform parents or legal guardians if there are “compelling reasons” to believe that doing so would expose the child to abuse or neglect.

Can a kid be taken by the state if the parent wants the child to transition but the child objects?  If not, why not?

Proof positive of the march to Soviet style society, where the government has the say, and parents have little to no say in their children's lives.

No one should have the ability to speak to a child about gender disphoria other than a parent and a credentialed medical doctor/psychologist.  For anyone else it should be a felony for the worst kind of child abuse.
