US government begins land evacuation of American civilians in Sudan: Official
The U.S. official said that a large group of Americans is being bused to the Red Sea
By Liz Friden , Adam Sabes | Fox News

The United States government has begun a land evacuation of American civilians who are in Sudan amid a growing civil conflict.

A U.S. official told Fox News that there's an ongoing effort to bus a large group of Americans to the Red Sea, where Port Sudan is located.

It's unclear how many Americans are being evacuated or how many buses are being used in the effort.

Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said during a Thursday press briefing that U.S. Africa Command was flying unmanned ISR drones over potential land routes in Sudan, adding that U.S. Naval assets are off Sudan's coast in the case of an evacuation.

"We have focused our efforts on support to overland routes," Ryder said.

That's good to hear, but why didn't they start the evacuations sooner??

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Brandon had to wait until France embarrassed him? No wait I've got it, someone in his administration remembered that Brandon was running for resident again and that Americans never bought his bullsquat excuses for Afghanistan.

They had to wait until the biolab was breached so they could import the election year plague.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

U.S. FINALLY starts evacuating citizens from Sudan: Buses carrying 300 Americans leave war-torn Khartoum over land as Biden administration faces questions of why it's taken so long to help get the trapped out

Buses carrying about 300 Americans left the war-torn capital of Sudan late Friday, after Washington came under intense pressure to explain why other countries had rescued their nationals but thousands of U.S. citizens remained without help.

It came as Khartoum continued to rock with the sound of explosions despite a tentative ceasefire, and foreign leaders tried to broker a fresh truce.

The U.S. convoy reportedly set off late Friday on a lengthy journey to a safe location.

It is being monitored by armed drones flying overhead, according to the New York Times.

The effort was starting as other countries were winding down their rescue efforts.

The U.K. said it was ending its evacuation flights within the next 24 hours after a drop in demand.
