Democrats Just Handed Donald Trump the GOP Nomination
By Jeff Charles | 8:30 PM on March 30, 2023

Well, you have probably heard the news by now. A Manhattan grand jury has voted to indict former President Donald Trump for allegedly paying hush money to a former porn star. I’ve said before that I think New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who has been prosecuting this case, wears a MAGA hat behind closed doors. This development is proving me right.

The decision to indict Trump was probably the kindest gift Democrats could have given to the Orange Man What Is Bad™. Unless something radical occurs, this indictment will ensure that the former president secures the GOP presidential nomination.

The New York Times reported:

Quote
A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Donald J. Trump on Thursday for his role in paying hush money to a porn star, according to five people with knowledge of the matter, a historic development that will shake up the 2024 presidential race and forever mark him as the nation’s first former president to face criminal charges.

An indictment will likely be announced in the coming days. By then, prosecutors working for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, will have asked Mr. Trump to surrender and to face arraignment on charges that remain unknown for now.

The article notes that Bragg will likely reach out to the former president to negotiate his surrender, meaning that the nation might see Trump “being photographed and fingerprinted in the bowels of a New York State courthouse.”

The key witness in the prosecution’s case is Michael D. Cohen, who formerly served as Donald Trump’s personal fixer and was responsible for paying $130,000 to silence adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Cohen has testified that Trump instructed him to make the payment and that Trump and the Trump Organization were involved in covering up the incident. The Trump Organization’s internal records allegedly falsely categorized the reimbursement for the payment as a legal expense, which facilitated the concealment of its true purpose.

excerpt:

Quote
Secondly, with this politically-motivated indictment, Democrats have given the greatest showman in American politics today a chance to stretch his persuasion muscles. Love him or hate him, one has to admit that Trump knows how to use this whole thing to his advantage. Indeed, he and his team have already considered how they could leverage this opportunity into winning the nomination.

Like him or not President Donald J. Trump was the voice of over 80,000,000 people.  The Republican party is dead; it's the platform though under which we have to work; we sure as heck can't work under the DEM umbrella.
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Actually, he got around 74000,000 votes. And that doesn’t mean he is the “voices” of all those votes.

Just like people who voted for Biden didn’t necessarily do it because they thought he was their voice

In order to fix this lopsided justice system we have that seems to be hostile towards not only Trump and his supporters, but anybody who disagrees with Progressivism, you have to win elections. The Democrats used the term “election deniers” and “MAGA Republicans” in 2022 more effectively than I thought it would be. Republicans have to find a balance between condemning the overreach of Alvin Bragg without getting sucked into Trump’s  drama

Some do not like to hear this, but outside MAGA voters, Trump is considered toxic to the voters at large. Democrats are going to get things that they need to distract from the failure. That is the Biden administration. They’ll get their mug shot and the word indictment. They also have Trump and his TruthSocial post alluding to death and destruction should he get indicted and telling his supporters to go out and protest on his behalf. Democrats will tie his words to footage from January 6. And Democrat candidates will try to force Republicans to defend that.

I have a sense that the 2024 election is already lost for Republicans at least on the presidential level. I am in full agreement though that we need to fight on local and state levels.
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
