Judge orders Trump lawyer to hand over documents, testify in classified documents investigation

A Washington D.C. Circuit judge ordered former President Donald Trump's lawyer to hand over documents related to the special counsel's investigation into Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell overruled an appeal by Trump's lawyers of a motion telling Evan Corcoran “to comply with the district court’s March 17, 2023, order to produce documents.” On Tuesday, a report claimed that Howell had written in a sealed filing that the prosecution had provided sufficient evidence showing that Trump misled his own attorneys, meaning that attorney-client privilege could not apply to certain interactions between Trump and Corcoran.
Corcoran is scheduled to testify Friday in the case, according to CNN.
The new ruling demands that Corcoran hand over evidence because his legal services may have been used to facilitate a possible crime, the Washington Post reported.
