Eric Swalwell Wants to Ban Conservative News From the Military

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif) wants to ban conservative news from being broadcast to U.S. troops but says networks such as CNN and MSNBC are acceptable forms of information.

During an interview on MSNBC, host Katie Phang expressed several concerns about the ongoing Dominion voting system lawsuit against Fox News, asking if Congress should get involved.

“Have there been any discussions in Congress about congressional oversight, regulations, and the FCC getting involved? Phang asked. “I know we all respect the First Amendment, Congressman, but should there be some type of gatekeeping that happens so that this doesn’t happen again?”

In response, Swalwell suggested banning Fox News from the military bases may be in the cards. However, he did acknowledge the idea might not go over well since the network is popular among service members.

Everything before the "but" is a lie. The Democrat party and their minions in the news media have no respect for the First Amendment whatsoever. They may as well add censorship to the official party platform.

Controlling by fiat "acceptable forms of information" is a very dangerous term coming from any government official. But coming from an authoritarian Communist like him it is certainly not surprising. Wonder why Swalwell and his club or 'group' don't just move to China? They would surely feel right at home there.

What do you expect when  what passes  for "the government" will do ANYTHING to make sure they will remain in power.

Until they GET that power permanently, that is. THAT is when the "Freedom Hammer" gets tossed into the furnace to be melted down for scrap, and their true nature comes out.
