A radical leftist baker in Oakland who believes in the abolishment of the law has tragically died after being dragged to death by robbers. Jennifer Angel, who ran Angel Cakes, was an anarchist activist. Her GoFundMe says they hope her killers (believed to be black) aren't jailed.

Jennifer Angel has a long history of far-left organizing in the Bay Area of California. She was trying to proselytize the belief that nation-states, the rule of law, police, etc. should be abolished in favor of an anarchist utopia. She supported the 2020 riots in her community.

OAKLAND -- The family of Jennifer Angel, owner of Oakland's popular Angel Cakes bakery, announced Thursday she had been declared dead after suffering life-threatening injuries during a brazen daylight purse snatching in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo Bank branch.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Oakland baker, small business owner, social justice activist and community member Jen Angel has been medically declared to have lost all brain function and will not regain consciousness. Her official time of death was 5:48pm (PT)," the statement began.

Investigators said the purse-snatching incident took place about 12:29 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Webster St. less than a mile away from her shop.

Angel was in the parking lot when a vehicle blocked her exit. A man approached her vehicle, broke a window, reached inside to snatch her purse and then raced back to a getaway car. She followed the suspect back to the car, attempting to retrieve her purse. Angel became caught in the fleeing vehicle's door and was dragged more than 50 feet before falling off.  ...

Berkeley anarchist was murdered during a robbery. The family says to respect her ideology and not prosecute the perpetrators because she opposed the entire criminal justice system. What if police had killed her? Would the no prosecution rule still apply?

Her killing should be investigated, and the perpetrators prosecuted, not out of any concern for this stupid little bitch, but out of concern for their next targets, and because they broke the public peace and should be prosecuted for that, regardless of what the little bitch thought.

The police and the prosecutors do not answer to individual crime victims, no matter how appealing or, as in this case, unappealing, but to the public at large and to the public interest.

Family, Friends of California ‘Social Justice Activist’ Killed by Robbery Urge Authorities Not to Pursue ‘Traditional Prosecution’

Family and friends of Jen Angel — a 48-year-old woman who died on Thursday as a result of injuries sustained days earlier during a violent robbery in Oakland, CA — urged authorities not to pursue “traditional prosecution” against anyone charged with crimes causing her death due to the decedent’s support of “social justice” and opposition to “state violence.”

Angel’s family and friends published an open letter on the day of her death relaying their assessment of her philosophical and political views. Angel was a “social justice activist” and “anarchist” opposed the “state-sanctioned violence” via incarceration of convicted criminals, they wrote:

    We know Jen would not want to continue the cycle of harm by bringing state-sanctioned violence to those involved in her death or to other members of Oakland’s rich community.

    As a long-time social movement activist and anarchist, Jen did not believe in state violence, carceral punishment, or incarceration as an effective or just solution to social violence and inequity. The outpouring of support and care for Jen, her family and friends, and the values she held dear is a resounding demonstration of the response to harm that Jen believed in: community members relying on one another, leading with love, centering the needs of the most vulnerable, and not resorting to vengeance and inflicting more harm.

Lest anyone find me heartless for having posted this story, I hate what happened to this misguided woman. The thugs who did this to her should be strung up. I just find it sad that her friends and/or family see a need to proclaim that the miscreants shouldn't be punished. No, they really kind of should. Justice demands it.

The view of Angel toward law enforcement is a common one among leftists of which Angel was a devoted acolyte.
Leftism is different from your run of the mill liberalism. Liberals (at least the old fashioned libs) still believed in America as a force for good. They simply came up with goofy “solutions” to the nation’s problems.
Leftists are different. They believe in the complete destruction of everything that made America great. Angel was a leftist who believed the insanity that criminals were created by an evil, capitalist
society. Social workers can fix the problems of crime and poverty. A socialist society that is.
