77 Congressional Democrats Say 300,000 Illegal Aliens a Month is Not Enough!

A few days after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed (late on a Friday night, hoping no one would notice) that more than 300,000 migrants entered the country illegally in December, 77 House and Senate Democrats dashed off an irate letter to President Biden to express their misgivings about his border and immigration policies. Apparently, in their estimation, our borders are still not open enough.
As communities along the border report that they are “on the brink of collapse,” and $400 a night luxury hotel rooms in Manhattan are filled to capacity with ungrateful migrants, nearly 30 percent of congressional Democrats want the administration to stop border enforcement altogether.
Specifically, far-left Democrats want President Biden to halt the use of Title 42, under which a scant 20 percent of the 251,487 migrants encountered at the border in December were returned to Mexico – which means about 200,000 were released into the United States. And those figures do not even include the 70,000 or so “gotaways” who disappeared into the country. “We are therefore distressed by the deeply inconsistent choice to expand restrictions on asylum seekers after your administration determined it was no longer necessary for public health. Title 42 circumvents domestic law and international law,” they complain.
