You know.....

I'm about give up.  My message to all of you  who are supporting McCarthy for Speaker?.....   Well have at it.

I, on the other hand, expect that  you have lost the  right  to bitch about all the upcoming  times that he caves to his dimocratic friends in the spirit of bipartisanship.   The Swamp hence perpetuated.

I wanted a Speaker who would fight back.  Not play nice.

That's right. This is excellent!

Well there Kevs, swallow your ego and either go find some Rats, or start making some real concessions.

There need to be some serious rule changes.

This is all on McCarthy....

Per Freedom Caucus, all he had to do for smooth vote and appoval was :

1. Bring Term Limits up for Floor Vote
2. Bring a balanced provision to balance the budget as provided from committee
3. Bring to floor vote the Border Plan provided by the Texas delegate.

Can one Briefer tell me if this is unacceptable......  Or just what or why McCarthy would refuse?

Think back to 1994 and the elevation of Newt Gingrich to Speaker, the first from the GOP in 40 years.  Before 1995 was out, Newtie caved in to Clinton on an Omnibus spending bill.

We've been double-crossed by Republican Speakers ever since.

Ronna...... you did 10X more to damage this party than the entire Freedom Caucus, with your mismanagment of the '22 election. You can keep your silly opinions to yourself.

Great points.....

At least Newt was stealth.  McCarthy already has his knives out to stick in conservative's in the back.   He's as bad as a dim in my opinion.

It's the swamp talking! Nothing more or less! The ONLY time any of those people need us is on election day.  Beyond that, they ALL work for K Street!

That's right. This, right here, is the only leverage there will ever be.

How much to move him out?   $500-600?  I'd personally pay as long as I could watch his face as I saw his stuff being hauled out the curb on Constitution Avenue.   The damned gall of it all.

Looks like McCarthy wants to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

I hope not lost in the hoopla is that it just wasn't 5 who dissented as earlier reported.....  It was close to 20.

This man does not have conservative's best interest in the least, and he needs to concede to a more appropriate alternative.

I don't have one @Right_in_Virginia and have publicly said that McCarthy WILL be speaker whether I like it or not. This republic is done for.
