Sneakypete chides bele:
"So,what is your solution,unconditional surrender?
Thanks, but no thanks. I prefer to keep fighting the good fight."

The problem, Pete, is that no one IS FIGHTING "the good fight", or much of any fight at all.

Indeed, the reality of the USA/Mexico border IS, to my eyes, currently the embodiment of "unconditional surrender"...

@Fishrrman

True,but that doesn't mean it CAN'T happen.

Think "Trump for President for 4 years, followed by 8 years of DeSantis.
Anyone who isn't paranoid in 2021 just isn't thinking clearly!

Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

As a "commoner" (so are we all), I, alone, can lawfully do nothing other than cast my ballot and hope it gets counted, when it is possible to vote for someone who will work to stem that tide.

My comment was also that we are still in the "pre-vigilante" phase of this, and at some point (not advocating violence nor planning any, personally) people will have seriously have had enough to work together to eliminate the problem where it happens.

No doubt there is serious infiltration of border concerned groups and incitement to do so by federal Agents, and at present their efforts would keep that breaking point in the future because no one wants to be Whitmered.

What smaller and more private events may or may have already occurred is open to speculation, but I have no information that any such acts have occurred, are planned, nor would I, in North Dakota, be likely to participate in such.

If no diplomatic solution is found,
No enforcement solution is found,
at some point, some people will inevitably take the law into their own hands.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
