EL PASO, Texas (KFOX) — A migrant caravan that arrived in Texas on Sunday continues to grow.

Thousands of migrants are on the bank of the Rio Grande along the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso waiting in line to turn themselves in to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers to seek asylum.

The county and city of El Paso are discussing sheltering support for arriving migrants.

El Paso City Council discussed whether it will declare a state of emergency at its meeting. State law dictates only the mayor and county judge can declare an emergency.

Deputy City Manager, Mario D’Agostino, told city council members Monday there is no guarantee that El Paso will be reimbursed for costs spent on the migration crisis. He strongly encouraged city leaders to declare a state of emergency with the number of migrants arriving.

Time for Gov Abbott to gas up the buses to Sanctuary Cities.

NO!!! Time for Abbott to declare ILLEGALS as enemies of the State of Texas.  Line up all the guards, police, etc., that he has and declare open season. That is the only thing that is going to work. Spreading ILLEGALS around the country is only increasing the DEM voting base in the future.

The good citizens of Texas could pay to detain and care for illegal aliens, or, for the price of a bus ticket, pass those costs on to the taxpayers of Sanctuary cities and states.

The Federal Government's lack of Border Security and lack of Immigration Enforcement forces states to bear the costs of bad or lacking Federal Policy.

One way to escalate Texas' crisis to America's crisis is to bus illegal immigrants to other states.

This causes states to be in conflict with other states and in conflict with the Federal government. 

State vs state conflicts get resolved by the Congress or the Federal Courts - thus elevating the undue burdens placed upon states to become a Federal issue.
