@sneakypete

Your level of anger at people of great faith, (which I am not btw) is really not healthy, and i hope as some point you find peace within yourself to deal with it.  For that, I really feel sorry for you.  As one of Science, I personally  have not been able to prescribe to an organized religion, but like I menitoned earlier, there is no way we got here via randomness.  There is some higher power.   And honestly, I am envious of those who have been able to extract faith.  They are lucky indeed, and not deserving of your scorn.

Let's not have anymore arguing about Religion/Lack of Religion on the Political Graphics thread?

Thanks in Advance!

@Cyber Liberty

EXCELLENT suggestion!

No one here or anywhere else is going to change MY mind,and I have zero interest in changing the minds of anyone else.

If you are happy with what you believe,I am happy for you.

Just don't start demanding that I MUST share your beliefs.

Amazing,ain't it?

And you can bet your bippy  there ain't  ANYONE more fond of solar energy than the companies that build the devices and the companies that service them.

I am sure that is just a coinkydink,though.

I agree with that, your beliefs are your own. While my beliefs might not coincide with yours, you are as free to believe them as I am to believe mine. That ability to choose is a God-given right, one that goes back to the Garden. (and you are free to disagree about that if you wish, as is your right).

I COULD argue with that,but I won't because frankly,it would be a waste of time for one,and I personally have no problem with  you worshiping anything you want to worship as long as you don't try to get laws passed requiring me and others to follow your beliefs.

Live and let live.

Outright blasphemy is no joke.
So if I say that Jesus wears Chuck Norris pajamas to bed.
Is that a joke? or is it blasphemy?

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

I chose to steer clear of any additional hostilites, but here was his direct original quote......

"I am not a Christian,or a member of any  other religious cult"

I guess this could be taken in context in several ways, but my first pass was he was characterizing Christianity to a Cult"

I'll shut up now, and move on.......

Which is exactly why we don't have a Religion Category!  And a Happy New Year to you,, too!

I have my belief and others have theirs, I try not to make comments(usually :whistle:) derisive or otherwise of other peoples beliefs or non beliefs. The only exception is/will always be the so called religion of peace firmly embedded in the middle ages, I consider it more of a death cult.

Yes, that approach seems to work the best.  Live and let live, with that one exception the adherents have brought upon themselves.  Hopefully that's settled now, before the new 2024 gets started.

Yes,I DID write that,but not as an attack on you or anyone else,but as an expression of my  beliefs.

BTW,I DO realize that the word "cult" GENERALLY has a negative  connotation,but I was speaking from my PERSONAL POV.

If it were in my power to ban organized religion as legal organizations,I wouldn't do it because I do realize that MOST religions (NOT Islam!) are not  only harmless,but the fear of going to hell almost certainly keeps some of the truly "out there loons" from acting like Muslims.

Probably not expressing this as well as it should be expressed. As I wrote above,if it were in my power to ban MOST religions,I wouldn't.
