Thanks!

Due to chemo brain I can't really remember a lot about him,but I do remember he was a long-time "insider",and people like that ALWAYS have enough dirt on their comrades to insure they remain in power.

That is why this comes as such a surprise.

Is it possible he agreed to step down so some young "insider" can take his place that has more influence?

I am sure that is not the acutally pics of the gold he received  There are plenty of assayed gold bars, (10-25% in my estimate) that aren't stamped with sequential serial numbers.  But you are right in the sense, numismatic gold coins are a much safer bet for the average crook.

Plus the fact if we have a repeat of the 30's, gold in collectable coins and jewlelry and coins were the only gold exempt fron confiscation

   @sneakypete this is the third time he's been Federally indicted as a US Senator.  He's been in Congress since 1993.
   Trump should officially move to his Bedminster estate and run for the US Senate there.    happy77

It's supposed to be that way for everyone. And an impeachment is just an indictment, unless the impeachee is found guilty in the subsequent trial. Innocence is supposed to be presumed.
