But that's not the point. The reason any of it is/was acceptable is because the 'dirty' was couched in humor.

Since when? I am not aware of any time in my lifetime that "tranny" wasn't "short" for Transvestite.

Way back when Idaho implemented a marijuana tax stamp. X amount per quantity. You were supposed to have all your weed stamped. Marijuana was and still is illegal in Idaho.

North Dakota had the same sort of law, for a tax stamp on MJ. IIRC, they sold some before they repealed the law, mostly as curiosities. That was long before medical was legalized here. Recreational still is illegal.
