@240B Che was tracked down by Special Forces soldiers working out of Panama. It was said that he was executed by local soldiers as he lay wounded and begging for mercy. He was wounded while trying to run away while his supporters remained behind to provide covering fire. IIRC,all of them died,too.
After he died,he was buried in an unmarked grave in the jungle by the US SF soldiers so that nobody would ever know where he was so they could raise a shrine to him or visit his grave.
He was nothing less than a sociopathic murderer that enjoyed executing prisoners,including women and children,himself. I MIGHT be wrong,but I never ONCE heard of him actually leading or taking part in an attack on government forces. He would only show up once the shooting had stopped to take the credit.
He no doubt THOUGHT that his family money and their political connections would rescue him if he were ever captured,furthering his fame.
