Republican Party 'is dead' after major midterm election losses in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada: Hawley
Hawley has been vocally critical of the Republican Party and its Senate Leader Mitch McConnell
By Lawrence Richard | Fox News

Republicans need to rebrand and "build something new" after they failed to retake a majority in the U.S. Senate or meet general expectations for the 2022 midterm elections, one of the party’s younger members said.

On Saturday, shortly after Democrats picked up a key victory in Nevada, where incumbent Democrat Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto defeated Republican challenger Adam Laxalt, Republican Sen. Josh Hawley took to Twitter to say the Republican Party "is dead."

"The old party is dead. Time to bury it. Build something new," Hawley wrote.

The 42-year-old Missouri Republican is among a younger group of Senate Republicans, who have expressed reservations for or straight opposition to current Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, 82.

Hawley has been vocally critical of the Republican Party after they failed to win in Pennsylvania, where Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz fell short of defeating Senator-elect John Fetterman, and in Arizona, where Sen. Mark Kelly fended off Republican hopeful Blake Masters.

"You can’t expect independent voters to vote Republican unless you give them an agenda they care about," Hawley added in a tweet on Friday.

Republican Party 'is dead'..

And so is this once great republic. It has been since December 11, 2020.  Prove me wrong.

They care about virtual sex, video game violence, social media expression, a carefree life where nothing has to be earned (ie, socialism), and gender fluidity.  So that is our new agenda?

Well, if that’s true, it’s not politicians or elections that’ll breathe back life in it.

Can you imagine fighting World War II with today’s America?
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Right.

Should the republican agenda be about appealing to the least common denominator?

Right.

Should the republican agenda be about appealing to the least common denominator?

Just the opposite!

The Pub agenda should proudly and aggressively appeal to those who want to achieve greatness. We should be pointing out how as the carefree approach to life has taken hold  people are less happy and less fulfilled. We should be pointing out how those who worked hard, paid their bills, saved for the future, focused on caring for their families have ended up being happier. The Pubs should be building their agenda around the understanding that freedom comes with consequences and responsibility.

Won't matter. The Democrats will just steal it anyway.

Those that have shoved the constant; Republicans have no right to win elections, now tell us Republicans can't win elections anymore.  (especially if election fraud can no longer be questioned, only accepted.  As mentioned, late election results will heavily favor democrats, some times election fraud takes a bit longer to perpetrate.  As election fraud becomes an accepted institution and right to win elections, even simpletons, fools, and useful fools will eventuall catch on,it often just takes them 6 months to a year to catch on.  Of course useful fools are now demanding the right to take much longer to catch on.

It was dead before this.

It just took this "election" to make it obvious to everyone that we are now officially a "One Party Nation".

Can't give the Dims all the credit for it,though. At least 30-40 percent of the "credit" should go to the RINO "purists" that refused to vote for "Rude Orange Man".

IMHO it became obvious during W's second term in office.  Try as we may, there was no recourse at the ballot box.

Even IF the "purists" as you call them @sneakypete had voted for the "Rude Orange Man" it wouldn't have made a darn bit of difference.  Pence and Pelosi and others had already orchestrated the election to be stolen and the SCOTUS went right along with them.

Since then the RNC did nothing, the GOP did nothing, and a few GOP governors implemented some changes.  As I was afraid, the mid terms turned out to be a disaster and the red wave was nothing but hype to make many feel that our elections were still valid.

We're all sickened.  The last thing that is needed right now is to lay blame at the feet of others in here and those that didn't support Trump.  IF we don't ALL unite we will continue to be destroyed.  Even at that, it's too late.  Just my opinion.

Election laws and election integrity need to change -- one precinct at a time.  Or, we can sit back, throw up our arms and give up.

I certainly don't have all the answers, but right now I have to believe that some way, somehow this will turn around.  Maybe I am just fooling myself.

Election laws do not change one precinct at a time.  They change one state at a time.

In theory yes, but I have experienced local precincts not adhering to State laws.  I have even called Supervisor of Elections in different counties and they acknowledged what they implement pretty much goes.  So, there's a lot of work to be done.

Comrade Briefers,

Remember how -- just three weeks ago -- the talk was in this forum and others (as well as by conservative columnists) that "the dem-communist party was dead" ??

Remember them???
I do. Don't try to deny that now.

Well, Comrades...
What a difference a few weeks makes!
... Along with something I told you about a couple of years' back called "the underground election apparatus"...

We need to bi-partisan , compromise with democrats, that turn and viciously bitch slap us when we do and then they have a good laugh.  It really means we need to be their bitches and let them rule, letting them us use us as punching bags.  Seen that happen to many times already.  i'm not into that much shameless self abuse, neither is the nation.

Yep. I saw The Man in the High Castle, not that I could not have imagined the results before that.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Sorry, but I only envision solutions to the ongoing criminal acts at this point that are varying degrees of less than peaceful. I will not even elaborate on the mildest of those on line.
