Republicans’ chances of winning a U.S. House majority are dropping significantly, according to our live model. Our mean seat projection is down to 224 Republican seats.

damnit......so much for the polls...

Donald Trump may be more of a drag on candidates  than some are willing to admit
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

I think you nailed it.  Since no red wave, Trump needs to rethink running.  DeSantis is a far better candidate.

The polls have been all over the map, drastically over and under counting both parties across various races.
The Republic is lost.

That may happen to some degree. What happened tonight probably ends any shot Donald Trump gets the nomination

If you're going to play this game, why not also take a closer look at the DeSantis touch?  You could start with O'Dea  --- whose "leadership is needed in the United States Senate".

Combine that with the fact that it was Dem money that gave Trump's candidates primary wins.

The biggest lesson from this election is that the Democrats had sooooo much money going in that they had the luxury of picking their GOP opponents.  Maybe next time, Republicans will fight harder when the Dems want to pass trillion dollar graft packages that fill their campaign chests.  There's a reason why they call the GOP the Stupid Party.
