Charlie Crist Running Mate: Latinos Should Be Stripped of Heritage If They’re Not Democrats

Karla Hernandez-Mats, Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist’s running mate, has declared that Latinos should be stripped of their heritage if they don’t vote for Democratic Party candidates.

Hernandez-Mats made the comments while taking swipes at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s Republican Lt. Gov. Jeanette Núñez.

According to Hernandez-Mats, Núñez should be stripped of her right to identify as Latina because her political views don’t align with the Left.

Hernandez-Mats made the incendiary comments during an interview with Politico on Thursday.

“I’ll tell you this – I know technically she’s considered a Latina but I think that her Latina card should be revoked,” she said of Núñez.

Hernandez-Mats went on to excoriate Núñez for her comments about DeSantis bussing illegal immigrants to the home state of President Joe Biden.  .  .

How, exactly, is one stripped of his or her own ethnic heritage, and who, exactly, is authorized to do said stripping? Is there a federal bureaucracy charged with that function?
