EXCLUSIVE: Jensen takes lead in Minnesota governor’s race
« on: October 21, 2022, 10:10:29 pm »
Republican attorney general candidate Jim Schultz has expanded his lead over Attorney General Keith Ellison.

A new Alpha News/Trafalgar Group poll has Republican Dr. Scott Jensen narrowly leading Gov. Tim Walz less than three weeks before the midterm election.

Nearly 55% of likely Minnesota voters disapprove of President Joe Biden, an almost identical result to the findings of a Sept. 14 poll.

Since then, Jensen has turned a deficit of 2.7 percentage points into a half-point lead. He now leads Gov. Walz 46.3% to 45.8%.

Republican attorney general candidate Jim Schultz has expanded his lead over Attorney General Keith Ellison, who trails his opponent by nearly 5 points.

Well, it looks like I am going to be proven wrong.  I didn't think this country was going to see another election.  Countdown - 18 more days to go.   :patriot:

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

It gets right cold in most of Minnesota, too. They just have more trees to block the wind (and to burn for heat).  We have coal and oil and gas.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Actually, most of Minnesota is red. When you get to the Twin Cities area is where it’s very very blue

The Iron Range used to be guaranteed Democrat but not anymore
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

That is true in far too many States.  The "cities" distort the voting base.  Take New York, Illinois, New Jersey, California, Pennsylvania, and so forth, as examples.
