Calling BS on that one. I already live in the woods. Even better than that,I live on a freaking island in the woods.
@sneakypete No... I mean IN the woods - not in a cabin in the woods with electricity and heat. IN the woods. Camp. No supply lines. Everything from the woods. I can do that. I have done that for weeks to months at a time. I know how.
But even weeks to months, there is the comfort of a cheeseburger somewhere in that future, and the adventure will end. And if you don't want to take it anymore, well just point yourself out and walk the fifty miles or whatever, and you'll be back in civilization. Going out and staying out is a different thing. No end. Even in mindset, that's a way different thing.
And that is wrong. You WILL die early. Maybe not from gunshot wounds from an enemy, but from animal bites, cold, infections, or just accidents and the lack of proper medical care.
No... I mean, that MAY happen, but I have a higher chance of dying every time I get in a car and go down the highway. I KNOW the woods. I can deal with infection and accidents and cold - And I can care for myself medically - Differently than modern medicine, but I know my way around forage... And if I don't many hilljillies do.
No, I can THRIVE in these woods. I ain't worried for that. I AM worried about protection, especially from other people. That could be a thing.
And you will die without harming the enemy or doing a single damn thing to save America.

You can fight back and set an example for the younger generation to follow.
No,you,as an individual will NOT "win". Or even survive.
But what you WILL do is set an example for the younger generation that witnesses or hears about this to follow.
If push comes to shove,I intend on dying with my rifle in my hands fighting against the oppressors, not dying of starvation from a broken leg or an infection I received from checking trap lines or hunting wild animals.
My personal motto is,and has always been,"Bring it,bitches!"
Different strokes. Different jobs. I ain't made for foxholes. I might could snipe a few, like I said. But that's pretty one-and-done. I can make a lay, and I can make the shots. But the exit would likely be beyond me.
But with what I know of woods lore, I could save many. And create refuge. That, in my case is more worthy in my mind. Take a few and die, or save many. That's not hard to weigh for me.
I ain't afraid of the fight... nor likely the kill (though I don't know that). And if that is my lot, then that is what I will do. It just makes more sense to teach and save many... And that too (each one) is a strike against the enemy.
