93% Of Voters Concerned With Inflation, According To Poll
« on: October 19, 2022, 06:22:59 pm »

A Morning Consult/Politico poll found that 93% of registered voters say they are “concerned” with inflation while 71% say they are “very concerned.” The poll was conducted between Oct. 14-16 among 2,005 voters with a +/-2 percentage point margin of error.

The poll showed a majority of those voters believe inflation is only getting worse. Among those polled, 42% said that economic issues such as jobs, taxes and unemployment were driving factors in their voting decision. When broken down by party lines, 52% of Republicans said economic issues were their top priority, while 44% of Independents agreed. Just 31% of Democrats said economic issues were a priority.

Still, three out of four Democrats said the economy would play a role in their voting decision while 90% of Republicans said it would. Sixty-four percent of voters blamed the Biden administration for record-high inflation.
