  • Ah, the air is so much fresher here...

The race is tightening between Republican Tudor Dixon and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) in the Wolverine State’s upcoming gubernatorial election, a recent Emerson College survey found.

According to the survey, Whitmer has a five-point lead over the Trump-endorsed candidate, 49 percent to 44 percent. Four percent remain undecided.

Whitmer enjoys a higher favorability rating than Dixon, as 51 percent have a favorable view of the Democrat, compared to 41 percent who have a favorable view of the Republican gubernatorial hopeful. Whitmer also has a seven-point advantage among independent voters, garnering 46 percent support to Dixon’s 39 percent.

------------

There have been several polls of late with only a 4-6% difference between the two, within the MOE and a very narrow swing.
The Republic is lost.

I would vote for the broad on the left.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

-Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Seriously though, I would think that Whitler should be unpopular as hell for what she has done to destroy Michigan's economy.  I guess it comes down to how many votes they can manufacture in Wayne County again.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
