DOJ Charges 11 Pro-Life Activists for 2021 Sit-In at Abortion Clinic — FBI Descends on Defendant’s Home ‘with Guns Drawn’

Paul Bois 5 Oct 2022

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reportedly charged 11 pro-life advocates with federal charges related to a 2021 protest at a Tennessee abortion clinic.

In a press release announcing the charges on Wednesday, the Department of Justice said that the 11 individuals violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act during a 2021 protest in which they “engaged in a conspiracy to prevent” a Nashville-area abortion clinic “from providing, and patients from receiving, reproductive health services.” Their names: Chester Gallagher, Heather Idoni, Calvin Zastrow, Coleman Boyd, Caroline Davis, Paul Vaughn, Dennis Green, Eva Edl, Eva Zastrow, James Zastrow, and Paul Place.

Identifying Chester Gallagher as the leader, the department alleges that he utilized social media to coordinate the blockade of an abortion, otherwise known as a “rescue.”

“His coconspirators and others blocked the clinic’s entry doors and prevented a patient and an employee from entering,” said the department. “The 11 individuals, aided and abetted by one another, used force and physical obstruction to injure, intimidate and interfere with employees of the clinic and a patient who was seeking reproductive health services.”

Without going into specifics, the charges further allege that the activists used “physical obstruction to intimidate and interfere with the clinic’s employees and a patient, because the clinic was providing, and the patient sought reproductive health services.”

If convicted of the offenses, the seven conspiracy defendants each face up to a maximum of 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release and fines of up to $350,000. The remaining five defendants face a year in prison, one year of supervised release and a fine of up to $10,000.

This is horrifying Gestapo-level crap.
One of the pro-life leaders targeted by Biden's DOJ sent me footage of the early morning FBI raid on his family home. Paul Vaughn was placed in handcuffs by armed FBI agents in front of his children just before school drop-off. Watch as his wife pleads for answers mid-arrest:

People thought that pastors being arrested for church services during the pandemic was a one time thing but of course it wasn’t

It was a trial run to find out if they could get away with punishing religious opponents and the answer was yes

There are no more scales of justice on the federal level.

Political prosecution has gone amok.

Wonder what the FBI would do if 10,000-20,000 sat in?

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

... In what appears to be a separate charge, the DOJ said Eva Edl, 87, of Aiken South Carolina; Eva Zastro, 24, of Dover, Arkansas; James Zastro, 25, of Eldon, Missouri; and Paul Place, 24, of Centerville, Tennessee, are all charged with committing FACE Act violations as well.

It sure looks like the FBI is just fishing for pro-lifers to prosecute

The FBI is on a rampage against pro-life activists and protesters, having charged a dozen men and women with federal felonies in the last three weeks for offenses that allegedly occurred last year. Twice, the FBI has deployed platoons of armed agents to arrest middle-aged fathers with no record of violent crimes.

The picture is clear: Anyone who has ever been charged with a crime, even if the charges were dropped or were for a misdemeanor, should expect a visit from the Biden FBI if the old charges involved pro-life activism or advocacy.

This is a clear politicization of the Justice Department, putting the bureau at the service of the abortion lobby. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s DOJ has made it clear that its priority is locking up as many pro-lifers as possible and harassing the rest.

Tens of thousands of protesters and political activists have been involved in property destruction, disturbing the peace, minor scuffles, trespassing, and illegal protesting in the last few years. But the only cases the FBI seems to care about are the ones in which pro-lifers are the ones who arguably or possibly stepped over the line.  ...
