Chinese National Allowed To Join U.S. Army, Convicted Of Spying
CHICAGO, IL - On Monday, Ji Chaoqun, 31, was convicted in a federal courtroom of spying for the People’s Republic of China.
Chaquin also attempted to recruit other engineers and scientists in this country for defense contractors to spy on behalf of the Chinese Intelligence Ministry, according to court documents.
Amazingly, the Chinese national was allowed to join the United States Army, which is how he gained access to sensitive material.
