New York City subway assault victim accuses mayor of breaking promises
Woman violently attacked in Queens subway station by homeless man on Sept. 20

The 33-year-old victim told police that the homeless man tried to speak with her on the subway before chasing her down and punching and stomping on her in a violent, unprovoked attack at a Queens metro station.

A New York City woman who was randomly attacked in a Queens subway station last week said no police officers were around to help during or after the violent assault.

"The mayor said we would have much more cops in the subway, and the cops specifically would be patrolling the subways because that’s where the worst of the crimes we are having. Especially at places like Howard Beach station," the victim told the New York Post on Tuesday. "There was no one. Why no protection there?"

Waheed Foster, a 41-year-old homeless man, was arrested on felony assault charges in connection to the attack, which took place at the Howard Beach JFK Airport station on the morning of Sept. 20.

Video of the incident shows the suspect chasing after the victim then throwing her into a ticketing booth before punching and kicking her. A bystander could be seen briefly trying to stop the assault but was scared off by the suspect.

Crime is up 45.8% on New York City's transit system so far this year compared to the same time frame in 2021, according to the NYPD.

Mayor Eric Adams has pledged to crack down on the surging crime rates, most recently announcing that 5,400 cameras will be installed on 2,700 subway cars.

"Public transportation is the backbone of New York City, and when commuters feel protected, the entire system stands upright," Adams said last week.

Foster, the suspect in last week's subway attack, has several prior arrests, including robbery, larceny, criminal mischief, assault on a woman with a screwdriver, and the murder of his own grandmother when he was 14 years old, according to the New York Post.

If that dirtbag murdered his own grandma, he shouldn't be out of prison for another 75 years. WTF is wrong with the people running the 'judicial system' when guys like that are roaming around, but 1/6 protestors are being held in the DC Gulag?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

@mystery-ak

WTF??????

Are there NO MEN left living in NYC?

I am a freaking geezer that is half-crippled and I could take that punk out  in a matter of seconds. Not only that,but when he would come too,he would wonder why it was dark because I would have snatched at least one of his freaking eyeballs out of his head and then knocked him down and jumped up and down on him until I got tired.

Anyone who has no better moves than that cretin had better be VERY careful about who he attacks.

Hell,even he knows that. It's why he attacked a woman. He is nothing less than offal.

Yeah,this video got on my nerves. Be lucky to sleep now.

Yeah, that's the real shocker of this story.  Someone with an expectation that a Democrat would improve something.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

@Hoodat

There are millions of people who live in NYC,and who have NEVER lived anywhere else.

Most of these creatures have never even VISITED anywhere else.

Things like this are all they know,so they don't get all excited about it unless THEY are the one getting attacked. THEN they care.

@Smokin Joe

We all KNOW what is wrong,even if we are reluctant to admit it. Even to ourselves.

We have allowed the animals to be put in charge of the zoo.

The ONLY reason these people do this is NOT because they are insane and don't know any better,it's because they know WE,THE PEOPLE,are going to allow them to get away with it.

The WORSE thing that will happen to them is they will finally get to live inside,have good health care,and not have to work while in prison.

I think that is some extreme cases like this,the right sentence would be to line two of these goobers up side by side,set them on fire,and have someone with a fire extinguisher at the finish line to put out the first one to cross the line.

May be a bit extreme to some of you,but I can guarantee you that after you held two or three of those "foot races",the murder rates would plumet to close to zero.

AND.....,once again,sell tickets to pay for it all.

I'd buy one.

POS mayor is too busy going to Puerto Rico to figure out what help they need instead of doing the job he was elected to do.

I dunno. Paramutual betting might offset some of the deficits in their budgets...

But I think more could be made raffling off slots on the firing squads, and avoid the whole Constitutional question of 'cruel and unusual punishment'.

@MountainMoment

Nope.

Sainthood requires you be an adult who has fathered several chillruns by several different welfare queens,have never held an actual job despite being an adult for more than a decade,and to be killed by accident while resisting arrest in a drug deal.

Do all dat,n yew kin maybie git yo oun statue in da park!

You seem to have forgotten that this is NYC. Had you done even half of what you said. YOU would be the one arrested and charged with a hate crime.

Eric Adams = David Dinkins II.

The minute the dem-communists nominated a black, this was the only possible outcome.
