A U.S. public health task force is now recommending that everyone over the age of 18 should undergo mental health screenings for depression and those between 19 and 64-years-old should be screened for anxiety disorders, even if they’re showing no symptoms of these mental health disorders.

On Monday, the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) published their draft recommendations for new mental health screenings for a large majority of the U.S. adult population.

One recommendation calls for all adults 18 and over to get screenings for depression and suicide risks if they don’t already have a diagnosed mental health disorder or aren’t showing recognized depression symptoms or signs of being a suicide risk.

There are only group of Americans that should be required to have annual mental health screenings, president, vp, senators and congress. I would also say that the president, vp, senate majority/minority leaders, speaker of the house/minority leader should have bi-annual screenings so that we don't end up with a fustercluck like this again. As far as every other American? The democrats can go Flock themselves! I'll be damned if I let some government stooge evaluate me and determine I am a menace to society(democrats) because I am a conservative so that they can strip me of my rights or put me under surveillance......just in case.

Who do you think it was that started the "Socialist" (Communist) movement in the US?

It was primarily Jewish refugees from the early Soviet Union,althought they were actually communist agents infiltrating the US in order to try to  destroy our government and turn the US into another Communist nation.

The Rosenberg's are a prime example of deep cover Communist agents working in America all the way back to the 1930's. They are the ones that gave the A-Bomb plans to the USSR and created the "Cold War".

I would be willing to bet the leaders of all the MAJOR leftist movements in the US today are the grand-children or the great-grandchildren of those Russian immigrants.

Bingo!  Right on target.  This is a scheme to have every person below 65 labeled as mentally ill so they can be denied access to firearms under red flag laws.

I thought it was odd that it was for 65 and under, because those over 65 can have struggles as well.

Under 65 also targets people separating from the military.

As a "side note" to this. It's common for many primary care providers to screen for depression, though you may not know it. In an itemized list of services that the insurance company mails after a visit, you see "screened for depression" with the charge.  Your reaction is "what screening?"  It's another way to get $$$ from insurance companies as well!
