Prince Harry and Meghan Markle join royal family at Buckingham Palace to receive queen's coffin

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle joined the royal family to receive Queen Elizabeth II's coffin as it arrived for a final time at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

Queen Elizabeth II's coffin was received by members of the royal family, including King Charles III, after traveling from Scotland.

So far, the royal couple has attended two public events regarding the preparations for Queen Elizabeth's funeral. Prince Harry and Markle joined Prince William and Kate Middleton on Saturday as the "Fab Four" viewed floral tributes and greeted well-wishers outside of Windsor Castle.

The outing marked the first time the four were photographed all together since March 2020.

For one night the coffin will lie at rest in the palace's bow room before the monarch is handed to the nation to allow the public to pay their respects when she lies in state at the ancient Westminster Hall for four days.

The King will be joined by his sons William and Harry as they walk behind the coffin as it is transported tomorrow.

Charles, William and Harry - along with the Duke of York, the Princess Royal and the Earl of Wessex - will follow the coffin on foot. Anne's son Peter Phillips and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence will also walk in the procession, as well as the Duke of Gloucester and the Earl of Snowdon.

The Queen Consort, the Princess of Wales, the Countess of Wessex and the Duchess of Sussex will travel by car.

Prince Harry 'WILL' release his memoir after the Queen's death: Duke 'is insisting his book is published in November', says royal author - but source close to Duke denies claims

Tom Bower suggested the book could be released later this year as planned
'He says if they don't publish it will be a breach of contract,' writer claimed
But source close to the Duke of Sussex denied Bower's claims to GB News

Prince Harry's autobiography will be published as planned in November despite the Queen's death, a royal author said today.

Tom Bower, whose biography of Meghan Markle was released earlier this year, claimed the Duke of Sussex was 'insisting' on the original date being honoured.

'I am told tonight that Harry is insisting that his book is published in November,' he told GB News. 'Apparently the publishers are not too certain, but he says if they don't publish it will be a breach of contract. That's what I'm told.

'It's extraordinary. But on the other hand it fits the bill, because Harry and Meghan's finances depend entirely on the book and on Netflix.

'And also, I think they are convinced they're in the right and they want to get their own back.'

Today, a source close to the Duke denied the claims Bower made to GB News. Meanwhile, Penguin has previously announced that Harry will be donating proceeds from the book to charity.

Can't believe I agree with Meghan McCain

MEGHAN MCCAIN: No Oprah, Harry and Meghan's truce won't last. Here's why the professional troublemakers won't mind tearing down the monarchy - and why the Palace MUST fight back

excerpts:

Quote
Why, after Harry and Meghan accused their family of racism, cruelty and much more, even Oprah thinks that there's now hope for royal reconciliation

What happens from here is anyone's guess. But here's mine: This peace is temporary.

It's more of a ceasefire.

I never really held very strong thoughts about the Royals until Harry and Meghan splashed onto the scene.

Since then, I've recognized that there is much to appreciate – especially the inspiring example set by the queen. But I've also come to recognize something else: Meghan doesn't mind tearing the Royal family apart.

And here's why: Harry and Meghan are in the business of Harry and Meghan. And when they're creating chaos, business is good.

Because these professional troublemakers have made their choice.

After skipping town, they are no longer working Royals and they don't want to be.

They want to be A-list celebrities in America. They want to make Barack and Michelle Obama-sized money off podcasts and streaming deals. And possibly most significantly, they do not want to play second fiddle to anyone.

To be blunt – they want to be King Harry and Queen Meghan.

There was a minor uproar this week after the Royal family updated the line of succession to the throne.

Prince William is now number two after King Charles, and Prince Williams' three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are next in line.

Then comes Harry and his kids, Archie and Lilibet. But they haven't officially been given the titles prince and princess, which is their traditional right as grandchildren of a monarch – as they now are.

I know! Who cares!

Well, I bet there's one person that does, and her name rhymes with beggin'.

This is just one of many insignificant flare-ups that may convince Meghan to once again shout, 'Off with their heads,' and run off to Oprah to spill all the Royal dirty laundry.

Inside Prince Harry, Prince William's royal reunion: Behind the scenes of dramatic appearance with their wives
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton photographed together for first time since 2020
By Lauryn Overhultz , Ashley Papa | Fox News

Prince Harry and Prince William shocked the world when they appeared together with their wives for the first time since 2020.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton, sometimes referred to as the "Fab Four," made their way outside of Windsor Castle on Sept. 10 to view floral tributes left for Queen Elizabeth II in the wake of her death on Sept. 8.

However, the special occasion was marred by reports that Prince Harry and Markle delayed the reunion.

"Yes, of course they were an hour late, it was because Prince William was told by his father, the now King Charles, to extend the invitation because they found out Meghan Markle had her U.S. PR firm book an ‘alternate’ walkabout, which was headed off. So, it was a last-minute invitation to head that off, she was breaking protocol (yet again)," royal watcher Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.

A representative for Markle did not provide comment when reached by Fox News Digital.

Fordwich explained that Prince Harry and Markle likely had to "scramble" to be ready for the public moment, and though she could not confirm, she noted that the Duchess of Sussex normally does have her hair and makeup team handy.

"It was a last-minute invitation, so, yes, they had to scramble to get ready, they weren't in mourning clothes."

"The Prince of Wales's olive branch led to a 45-minute negotiation before the 'Fab Four' were reunited … also Prince William was rather dismayed by some coverage focusing on Harry and Meghan’s movements the day Queen Elizabeth II died rather than the magnitude of mourning," Fordwich added. "So, he then was resolved to make contact with Harry and Meghan."

The 45-minute negotiation was likely due to Prince Harry's plea for proper security. The Duke of Sussex is currently in a legal battle with the government of the United Kingdom as he fights for security following his decision to step back from his senior role as a royal.

"If we see any more of Harry and Meghan over the next few days, apart from Monday's service, we won't receive word of the appearance until the very last minute," royal expert Kinsey Schofield told Fox News Digital.

Biden offers King Charles belated condolences
By Olivia Land

As the royal family concluded a brief service in honor of Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Hall, the White House released a statement saying President Biden had officially reached out to the new King Charles III.

"President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. spoke today with King Charles III to offer his condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II," the statement read.

"The President recalled fondly the Queen's kindness and hospitality, including when she hosted him and the First Lady at Windsor Castle last June.

"He also conveyed the great admiration of the American people for the Queen, whose dignity and constancy deepened the enduring friendship and special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.

"President Biden conveyed his wish to continue a close relationship with the King."
