DNI to give lawmakers 'assessment' of potential risk leading to Mar-a-Lago raid

Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines as well as other officials will give an "assessment" to top lawmakers about “the potential risk” to national security posed by former President Trump keeping top secret documents at Mar-a-Lago.

Haines sent a letter to Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) to inform them about the decision.

Reps. Maloney and Schiff both released the following joint statement:

“We are pleased that in response to our inquiry, Director Haines has confirmed that the Intelligence Community and Department of Justice are assessing the damage caused by the improper storage of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. The DOJ affidavit, partially unsealed yesterday, affirms our grave concern that among the documents stored at Mar-a-Lago were those that could endanger human sources. It is critical that the IC move swiftly to assess and, if necessary, to mitigate the damage done—a process that should proceed in parallel with DOJ’s criminal investigation," they wrote.

One of Avril Haines jobs is to prepare the PDB for Biden.  Her proposed action above indicates that she has direct knowledge of the content of the items seized during an "independent" DOJ investigation.  Yet the White House continues to pretend they are completely ignorant of the details of the investigation.

They don't necessarily want a conviction, just an indictment they can wave around and drag out. The war against Trump, without any substance, has been a war of optics and accusation and innuendo from day one.

Unless every member of that grand jury decides to immediately move to Florida, they can't indict Trump for any crime committed at Mar-A-Lago.

The yet-to-be-alleged crimes aren't tied to him removing documents from DC, but are tied to him having documents in Florida.  Thus, Florida has jurisdiction.  It's clearly stated in Amendment VI, not that leftists ever gave a damn about the Bill of Rights.

The lynch mob has made no mention of how the documents got to be in Mar-A-Lago, only that they are now there.  Several reports have indicated that the GSA was responsible for packing and shipping the boxes.

This time I think Trump is making  a masterful move.  He's gone into silent mode on details, and if I endulge a poker example, this puzzling silence is likely with him pulling a boat at the flop, and luring the gullible DOJ in with a following calling a couple of continuation bets..........   Then lowering the boom on them, after they go "all in"

Yeah. He's all shut up. Uncharacteristically so... He should be playing this in the media, as he would normally be throwing a martyr card around. He's done a little harrumphing, but hardly any. Odd that he is not playing that. His normal play would be to scream bloody murder.

Either that means they got something in the raid, or more likely, that they didn't find what they were looking for, and the real play is at hand - not for media consumption.

Of course they are going to indict. They were going to indict from Day One. That was and IS the sole purpose for all this.

The thing is that for maximum political impact,they want to drag it out as long as possible with negative leaks towards Trump's innocence every step of the way,and IF they can,finally indict right before the next Presidential campaign begins.

Trump flat scares the HELL out of them because he can't be bought and he can't be blackmailed, thus he can't be controlled.

The ONLY chance the Globalists have creating "One World Government,Inc" in their lifetimes is taking control of the US Government in the next Presidential election. IF Trump is elected,it will set them back decades,maybe even forever,and they have been working towards Global Government ever since the 1920's,when the goal was proudly stated as creating a Communist World.

Once they figured out that would never work,they decided to go with Fascism in the disguise of Capitalism, but without the free markets. The last thing that the Communists OR the Fascists want is a free market because it takes away their control over the peons. The peons,of course,are defined as "anyone but them".

There is nothing the Globalists fear more than an honest man that can't be bribed or blackmailed,and Trump flat scares the HELL out of them. To be THIS close,and have it taken away would be more than they could bear.
