Navy failed to address environmental impact of Growler fleet expansion, judge rules

SEATTLE — A federal judge has ruled that the Navy violated the National Environmental Policy Act during its environmental review process for the expansion of the Growler jet fleet at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island.

The ruling said the Navy failed to disclose the basis for greenhouse gas emissions calculations, failed to quantify the impact on classroom learning, failed to take a hard look at species-specific impacts on birds, and failed to give detailed consideration to the Navy base in El Centro, California, as an alternative for Growler expansion, the Skagit Valley Herald reported.

It’s the second recent case challenging the Navy’s operations; the state of Washington sued in July, saying the Navy failed to adequately consider the effect the expanded flight operations would have on people or wildlife.

The two-page ruling adopted the recommendation of a U.S. federal magistrate, who issued a report and recommendation in December in favor of state Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s lawsuit.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT?  What is that about?  It won't be long and some other dumb *ss liberal judge will order the military to get rid of all it's weapons due to the negative environmental impact they could have.  This "environmental impact" nonsense could be the door commiecrats have been looking for to destroy the military.

That judge and state AG need to be taught the cost of stupidity. This decision is so stupid that even the Ninth Circus Court might strike it down.
