Biden and Democrats set to sharpen 'ultra-MAGA' attacks as third Trump bid looms

Democrats are hoping former President Donald Trump launching his 2024 White House campaign this fall will muddle the politics of November's midterm elections, one that is poised to be problematic for the party in power.

But Republican strategists warn Democrats they cannot outrun their own record, particularly on inflation, by reminding people why they did not support Trump in 2020 as the former president tells reporters he has made up his mind about the next election and only has to decide when to announce.

Democrats are "desperately" looking for anything, or anyone, to distract the public from the "dismal" economy, according to former Kansas GOP Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS).

"It won’t work," the onetime Tea Party Caucus chairman told the Washington Examiner. "Whether it’s Trump, the [Jan. 6 committee] spectacle, abortion, or even breakfast tacos, nothing is going to deny voters from holding Democrats responsible for their massive policy failures," he said, alluding to first lady Jill Biden citing tacos this week as an instance of Hispanic diversity.

I sure hope DJT can hold off announcing.......  We don't need any incentive for dims to turn out this year.

A GOP congress will at least slow down the Biden disaster.

"Incentive"?

Anybody that believes what we're living through right now is the lesser of two evils to Donald Trump is n**king futz.  Or a Communist!

Not the point of lesser of evils.  Our side will crawl through glass, theirs doesn't need any incentive.   Let's nail them to the wall first, and then talk about '24.  What's gained by announcing early?

You're right!  He should wait until after the mid-terms and just play "king-maker" for now.

We've already shot "blown out a lung" with Roe v Wade.

Fishrrman idea for a tv commercial, 2024...

The scene opens on Anytown, USA. We see faces here and there, looking grim and unhappy.

The narrator:
Only a few years ago, America was on the right track. Inflation was low, as were the prices of... everything.
Employment was at an all-time high.
The border was secure, and other nations respected us.
We were on our way to full energy independence.

Then, another party took over.
Under questionable circumstances.
They created the mess you see around us today.

But help is on the way...

Scene dissloves to a road with a truck coming in the distance.
As it gets closer, we see it's a tanker truck.
It rolls into town, gleaming in the sun.

On the side, we see "MAGA Fuel".
The cab window rolls down.
And who's at the driver's wheel, but... you guessed it.

He climbs down from the cab, and folks gather round.
They ask... what can we do to get out of this mess?

And Mr. Trump replies...
"Fill 'er up.
With ULTRA..."

I agree; the ONLY incentive for Trump announcing early is if he isn't planning on running again; giving others plenty of time to get their campaign and financial backers together.  If Trump decides not to run again, turn out on both sides will probably be dismal.
