The shooting I highlighted was at a Taiwanese congregation, and the victims are from Taiwan.
BUT, the perp is mainland Chinese. How is an ethnic Chinese person killing ethnic Chinese people "racist"?
More on-topic, many churches have formed security teams, often comprised of LEOs (former and current), fire fighters, and people with medical experience. At my church those LEOs who choose may be armed, or not. Perhaps either this Episcopal church did not have such a security team, or no members were present at the gathering.
30 or 40 years ago, shootings like this were almost unthinkable, but after several decades of children being taught they are the highest animal evolved so far, moral absolutes being replaced with "my truth", human life being devalued by abortion, and demagogic politicians and certain kinds of activists demonizing Christians and Jews ...
