American tycoon Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, expressed his interest in using the Brazilian space center of Alcántara as a base to launch his company’s rockets SpaceX, said the Minister of Infrastructure of BrazilMarcelo Sampaio.

The Alcántara Launch Center is located in the Amazonian state of Maranhao, close to the Atlantic Ocean and in a region of low population density a few kilometers from the equator, conditions that allow it to offer great advantages to anyone interested in placing satellites in space.

Due to its strategic geographical position, just 2 degrees south of the equator and closer to the geostationary orbit, the Brazilian base guarantees savings of around 30% in the fuel used for launches.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
