A number of people were shot at a cemetery in Wisconsin on Thursday when gunfire erupted during a funeral for a man who was killed during a police dispute last week, reports said.

The shooting took place at Graceland Cemetery in Racine, Wisconsin at around 2:30 p.m. local time as family and friends gathered to mourn Da’shontay L. King, according to The Journal Times.

“There were multiple shots fired at Graceland Cemetery,” Racine police said in a statement. “There are victims but unknown how many at this time. The scene is still active and being investigated.”

Some of those injured were members of KIng’s family, WTMJ-TV said.

Interesting, the article purports to be about the shooting at his funeral but seems to be devoted to rehashing what led to him being shot by the police and ending with what a fine man he was, hero to neighborhood, yada yada yada. I think I'll puke now.

The only sad part is that he probably is a local hero,now. Maybe they will even put up a statute to honor him in a local park?
